Movie star JAKE GYLLENHAAL has shocked American Gulf War veterans by joking they did nothing but "masturbate" during their time in the desert in 1991.
The cheeky 25-year-old stars in JARHEAD, a movie exposing the US soldiers' lack of combat in the Middle Eastern conflict.
He said, "The US soldiers were sent to the desert for 122 days and they sat in the same tent and did nothing, except a little too much masturbating."

His film "jarhead" was an insult to every American Soldier, Sailor and Marine. This guy is a walking latrine.

The entire Gyllenhaal family is overrated. I made the mistake of wasting two hours on
Donnie Darko, curious after reading time and time again that it was a masterpiece that was overlooked because it involves a plane crash and was released after 9/11. It was not "overlooked" -- it was ignored because it's an incomprehensible mess disguised as artsy-fartsy intellectualism.
By the way, as an actor, he sucks. He's not Hayden Christiansen bad, but he's Tobey Maguire bad.

I knew I held off watching Jarhead for a reason. I didn't see it in the theaters and I have not ordered it on pay per view. I would rather sit and listen to real veterans talk about their experiences than watch some candy-assed actor try to portray them in movies where they cannot possibly do justice to the sacrifice that our veterans have given.

What a moron! No wonder the beautiful Kirsten Dunst dumped him.

He absolutely refused to see the "Jarhead" movie. He read part of the book and got so mad, I thought he was going to have a stroke. He said the guy that wrote it is full of crap. Most of the book is garbage and didn't happen.
Would you thank your husband for me? The movie looked very anti-military when the previews first came out. I had to verify that Oliver Stone didn't direct it.

The guy has worked not terribly hard for under a decade and made enough money to kick back forever in relatively comfortable style. Given his good fortune, he should not miss an opportunity to keep his mouth closed.

Cheeky? Is that a gay thing? Could be, but I think if you're Republican and say something wrong and offensive you're mean, hateful, and angry, but if you're a leftist, you're cheeky.

Perhaps with Jake's vast repertoire of expertise of combat operations in Desert Storm, he may wish to contact the families of service people listed
here ,
here,and
here and let them know just exactly how their loved ones were sacrificed for the great glory of sexual self fulfillment.
We all know he won't, as these brave soldiers died in the line of combat, and gave the ultimate sacrifice so that thousands could have the opportunity to be free; including Mr. Gyllenhall, who it seems chooses to utilize his freedom to make scandalous comments to their memory.

He's going for a grand slam. He played a gay, now he offends our troops. Next I suppose something anti-Christian or anti-Semitic.

Maybe he did that during the filming of the movie and figured the real Marines did the same thing.
