Stress Test

Posted on 04/29/2006 12:30:08 PM PDT by BulletBobCo

I am not sure exactly how it works, but this is amazingly accurate. Read the full description before looking at the picture.

The picture below has 2 identical dolphins in it.
It was used in a case study on stress levels at St. Mary's Hospital.

Look at both dolphins jumping out of the water.
The dolphins are identical.

A closely monitored, scientific study revealed that, in spite of the fact that the dolphins are identical, a person under stress would find differences in the two dolphins.
The more differences a person finds between the dolphins, the more stress that person is experiencing.

Look at the photograph and if you find more than one or two differences you may want to take a vacation

The dolphin's shadow in the water matches the outline of the dolphin; and the Cow's shadow matches the cow.

Am I thinking too hard?!

There are subtle differences to the trained eye. For example, the dolphin on the right displays the distinctive "hump back" associated with the species while the one one on the left has a smoother rounder back seen in the Apaloides summersetus variant.

The dolphin our our right also features the uniform coloration expected, while the left dolphin has subtle variations on the ventral surface.

These kinds of discerning observations should not be attributed to stress, but to the keen powers of eyesight after age 50 :-(
