False rumors of random federal immigration raids have sent panic through immigrant communities around the country this week, emptying classrooms, work sites and shopping areas and sending thousands of people into hiding.
Towns in New Jersey and on Long Island have been among those most affected by the snowballing fear, say immigrant advocates and public officials, who described terrified mothers pulling their children from a Head Start program in Freehold, N.J., and deserted streets in usually bustling areas of West Hempstead, N.Y.

120mm Beehive can present an amazing deterrant to illegal public asembly."
That may well be, but it won't happen in this country.
Let's all go shopping.
Ix-na on the umor-ra ebunking-da! Et-ga with the ogram-pa!
;-)
Well, I'm going to work and shopping, later. I am saving all my shopping for Monday. Might go buy like a new fridge or something... Need higher ticket items to make a difference.
Maybe I should trade in my car. Buy a new one. It is 9 years old.
Immigrants have nothing to fear. Illegal aliens, on the other hand, may have cause for worry.
I was told by the frito lay distrutor at my sisters business to not open the shop on Monday.
We are not only opening, we are having a one day sale.
30, 20, maybe even 10 years ago that might have been the popular sentiment. In today's geopolitic and skills honed by US ground forces overseas, it isn't nearly outside the realm of possibility.
Sounds like a very big pimp's cut, if you ask me,
Just remember this isn't a grass roots rally. IMHO, it is being well orchestrated and promoted by those with deep pockets. Now is the time to track the money flows.

Somebody spoke with some Hispanic gardners the other day and remarked they heard they got to take Monday off. Just like most laborers, they simply chuckled and remarked, "Somebody has to earn the money to pay the bills. We won't get any time off." IMHO, that sentiment speaks closer to reality than the hyped protests.
If it were a fifth column type of movement, then I don't think the issues would be so well advertised in advance.
It strikes me that the Monday protesting is merely an all out effort to attract new blood into socialist circles. A recruiting drive, if you will.
The picture you posted epitomizes the true attitude of illegal aliens. If you live where the illegals have invaded you know this to be true an no amount of sob stories will have you believe otherwise because you and I are actually living it.
I am so sick of the bullsh!t talking points that they do all of the grunt work. We need them, they contribute, yada yada yada. If we legalized all of them, 95% would never contribute enough to make up for what they take. Since they have the lower paying jobs they would then automatically qualify for every freebie out there and then get the Earned Income Tax Credit on top of it all. So essentially they would still never have to pay taxes. Talk about bankrupting the economy. Give me a freaking break.
We need to put so much pressure on the feds that those rumors actually turn out to be true.
"Immigrants Panicked . ."
As well they should be. Boot their butts back to their beloved homeland.

I would like to state for the record that there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that extra boxcars are being staged at rail depots in major border state cities.
