But McCain thinks that Russia and China should be close allies of the US.

" that Iran's nuclear program posed the greatest security threat to the world alongside terrorism." "Alongside?" "Alongside?" If you ask me, they are one and the same!

Why is a u.s. senator trying to dictate foreign policy of the united states? That is not his job or place. Doesn't he have something to regulate?

Yes, but he is also a chameleon, who can change colors faster than John Kerry when he wants to...

"McCain added he was not trying to tell the administration what to do."

Maybe not, but he, nor any other congressperson, should be "warning" other nations, especially covert enemies about consequences with the U.S.

That's what we have a Bush Administration Staff for. Diplomatic relations can be very undermined by pistols like McCain.

McCain did not rule out the possibility of direct U.S. talks with Tehran

Pretty bold of the senator. The rest of us thought that the executive branch directed the state department with respect to foreign relations. McCain is already nominated and elected in his mind. The president should b!tchslap McCain over this comment.

Well he gets a pass on this one. He did not say anything to stupid or out of line. Clearly if many of those rich Mullahs had their Swiss and other bank accounts and investment vehicles tied up, this creep they continue to call the president would perhaps meet with an un-fortunate accident.

So, did Russia make a deal with the Iranians to tone down the Chechens in return for support of the nuclear development? Did China agree to support Iran for Oil Deals? Neither appears to be a target of the extremists. Is there a connection?

"There will be a reaction in the U.S. Congress."

I'm sure there will be many reactions:

1) Take a poll to see what the msm thinks

2) take a poll to see how it will play at election time

3) Review cancelled checks from the lobbyist to see what your opinion should be

4)No matter what happens even though you have the majority make sure you do nothing and blame it on the dems.

I'm sure there are more and I'm sure none of them will be to destroy the nuke sites.... thats controversial you know.

Good point.

McCain wants to be president and like the other big mouths in the Senate, thinks that babbling now will help him get elected.

I have tremendous respect for McCain, but he really did spend way too much time at the Hanoi Hilton. He is damaged beyond repair, this hero of ours.

He's just practicing playing President! What he said needed to be said by President Bush, but THAT doesn't concern me as much as WHERE he said it. I'll give you two guesses what he was doing in Brussels!?! THAT really concerns me!!

McPain wants SO badly to be a player in the international big leagues he can taste it. He needs to be reminded that he is NOT the Secretary of State or Defense, he is NOT the Vice President, or President, he is one of two Senators from Arizona and he needs to get himself focused on the priorities and needs of his constituents and quit trying to play global warrior-diplomat. As another poster has mentioned, there IS the Logan Act to consider, and Johnny-boy needs to put a sock in it.

Do I smell Election Rigging for the '08 Elections when the Commies will put Hillary in Power? Instead of McCain to continue the Klintoon Legacy and unleash Klintoon Legacy Diaphragm.
