I saw the aftermath of the Cerritos-Aero Mexico crash. There were bodies (mostly parts)and pieces of the DC 9(?)hundreds of yards from the impact.
When I look at photos of the Pentagon strike, it don't look right to me. But FReepers who I have come to respect, assure me that it was a commercial airliner that hit the building.
(Just got back from seeing United 93 - it was surreal to me)

I know some folks who were able to get out of the Pentagon. They talked about the heat and smoke.
