AP) SACRAMENTO California's state senators on Thursday endorsed Monday's boycott of schools, jobs and stores by illegal immigrants and their allies as supporters equated the protest with great social movements in American history.
By a 24-13 vote that split along party lines, the California Senate approved a resolution that calls the one-day protest the Great American Boycott 2006 and describes it as an attempt to educate Americans "about the tremendous contribution immigrants make on a daily basis to our society and economy."

"Great American Boycott 2006"
What a bizarre world we live in today. A march of illegals / non Americans being called the Great American Boycott 2006.
Words escape me.

Our State Senate's resolution never once mentioned that pesky word, "illegal." Or the drain on our public resources that's presented by a poorly educated and poorly paid cheap work force. To the Democrats, patriotism is apparently the last refuge of the scoundrel.

It is neither "Great" nor is it "American".
The ILLEGALS.....not "immigrants".....should march
their asses back to Mexico on Monday, and take the left-wing politicians in Sacramento with them (and while they're at it, take the MECHA disloyal mayor of L.A. and
Cardinal Mahoney Baloney with them).

Fixed.

Instead of joining the protests they ought to be preventing them. These mass demonstrations all across the country put us all in danger. Local police cannot control crowds this size. It will serve officials right if all hell breaks loose across the nation, but it might just be the wakeup call they are desparately in need of.

Seems to me that such a vote constitutes a clear violation of their oath of office, if not some violation of federal law, therefore grounds for removal. I'd love to see lawsuits as a result of this. Recall petitions would be appropriate, but presumably these idiots are mostly in safe districts, so a lawsuit would seem to have a greater likelihood of success.

Wow. They must really like the idea of being re-conquered.

Yes, but the clampdown will come on the heads of white Americans.
Illegals will get nothing done to them, in fact the government of California may pay them.

I completely fail to understand how in the h*ll housing prices are what they are in Kalifornia.
I'm no economist, but if supply and demand figure in, and if Kalifornia is this much of an "off-the-deep-end" cesspool, they WHY WHY WHY would anyone want to live there, and WHY WHY WHY are housing prices like they are?
Thank God I'm a Texan. Thank God!

I bet the business owners just love the idea that the lawmakers are advocating actions that could be catastrophic to their buinesses.

Completely agree.
Isn't this behavior by a Government body grounds for recall? Or impeachment?

Question for the forum.
Is advocating such actions a violation of Federal Law?
To: Madeleine Ward
The reality is the Democrats are dependent on illegal alien votes to stay in power. Republicans are no better. Quite a few of them want that same pool of votes for pretty much the same reasons. And in the meantime, ordinary Americans get the shaft from our bipartisan illegal alien coddling establishment.

Can we business folks in California refrain from charging Sales Tax on Monday?
Would this constitute support for our leaders in Sacramento?
I think our customers would like it!
