There are those who question the timing of this project and the painful memories it evokes. Clearly, the film portrays the reality of the attack on our homeland and its terrible consequences. Often we attend movies to escape reality and fantasize a bit. In this case and at this time, it is appropriate to get a dose of reality about this war and the real enemy we face. It is not too soon for this story to be told, seen and heard. But it is too soon for us to become complacent. It is too soon for us to think of this war in only national terms. We need to be mindful that this enemy, who made those holes in our landscape and caused the deaths of some 3,000 of our fellow free people, has a vision to personally kill or convert each and every one of us. This film reminds us that this war is personal. This enemy is on a fanatical mission to take away our lives and liberty--the liberty that has been secured for us by those whose names are on those walls in Battery Park and so many other walls and stones throughout this nation. This enemy seeks to take away the free will that our Creator has endowed in us. Patrick Henry got it right some 231 years ago. Living without liberty is not living at all.
The passengers and crew of United 93 had the blessed opportunity to understand the nature of the attack and to launch a counterattack against the enemy. This was our first successful counterattack in our homeland in this new global war--World War III.

I hope this will shut up the Hollywood bashers for a few minutes. Or rather, trumpet the virtues of this film as loudly as they bash the drivel.
Can't wait for the Left and muzzies to start in with their dribble about how racist the film is and how people need to forget and how it was really all our fault anyway....bastards.
wow...must see this
Tell it to the Democrats.
Tell it to the Democrats.
"We live in a great and free country only because our forefathers were willing to wage war rather than accept the peace that spells destruction." --Teddy Roosevelt
I will not go near the movie. I will not give one cent to the "memorial" to the Islamic attackers.
I'm worried the defense in the Moussaoui case will use this film to scream tainted jury if they return a death sentence to overturn it.
Surely the jury will be restricted from viewing the film.
This is a tack best left untravelled by Beemer and Bush.
The enemy doesn't "want to take away" our liberty, etc, but rather these things would be the end result of our conversion to, or refusal of their oppressive religion.
Some people say the crash never happened, that there were never pictures shown of the remains of a plane, there or at the Pentagon, and that it was a missile that hit the Pentagon. ?
Would that include juror's family members? They are not sequestered.
It doesn't matter if the jurors' family members see the movie, part of the jury instructions are that they are not to discuss the case outside of the jury room.
>>>>part of the jury instructions are that they are not to discuss the case outside of the jury room.
I don't think they have been instructed on United 93 yet. They weren't in session yesterday.
Wife and I have tickets to see this tomorrow afternoon. I have the feeling my Saturday night will be spent in quiet contemplation.
This is an old story. An American story. An American story of Christian values in practice. It is a story of a few, good, courageous and selfless men who valued the lives of others more than their own, and gave of their lives so others would live. It is the greatest expression of love that a man can make.
"John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
Now that you know the story of these brave souls, honor their sacrifices by giving to the memorial fund, instead of our enemies in hollywood.
