USC quarterback Mark Sanchez was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman.
L.A.P.D. Officer Jason Lee says Sanchez was taken into custody around 4 p.m. Wednesday. He's accused of sexually assaulting a female student.
Sanchez is listed on the Trojans' depth chart as the backup to John David Booty, but is expected to battle for the starting job this fall. Booty practiced only once this spring before he injured his back and had to undergo surgery.
Sanchez played the recent spring scrimmage and has been practicing with the first unit.
He will be a redshirt freshman this coming season.
wow, the wheels are really coming off over there. I'm no fan of USC, but I hate to see this happen anywhere.
With the caveat of innocent until proven guilty, of course.
Wonder what perks his family was given.
When it rains, it pours.
I was hearing tonight that a 2nd player apparently is caught up in the Reggie Bush investigation.
Hmmmm..."allegedly sexually assaulting a woman," "Trojans" and "John David Booty" all in the same story. You can't make this stuff up.
Don't forget the "Dirty Sanchez."
And "practicing with the first unit."

It's a fullscale meltdown. Too sad.
That costs extra.
Annabelle Chong went to USC
I thought they wore orange in prison.
...this coming season...
I missed it. What is the Reggie Bush investigation? By the way are there any USCers here. I am. You can probably tell how strong my allegiance is if I don't know about the R.B. investigation though.
Pete Carroll has a rep as a hands off guy but some of the players seem to be hands on...Better get control Pete
Okay, I give who is Annabelle Chong?
I saw the pride before the fall long ago. Hell even I was cheering for UT in the bowl to beat their a--. The whole school could use a nice refresher on humility from what I've experienced as a grad student. It is usually hard to get in a door of a classroom, usually have to squeeze by the professors' large heads. There are few really good faculty there though--Dallas Willard for one.
