Black nationalists provide security for rape accuser (New Black Panther Party)

DURHAM -- An official with the New Black Panther Party for Self Defense said the black nationalist organization is providing security for the woman who has accused Duke lacrosse players of raping her.

And the organization is distributing recruitment brochures with information about a rally planned near the Duke campus for Monday. The brochures ask, "Had enough of disrespect and racism from Duke University?" The materials contain photographs of Collin Finnerty and Reade Seligmann, the two white lacrosse players indicted and charged with raping a black exotic dancer at 610 N. Buchanan Blvd. the night of March 13-14.

"We'll do the escort and the security, going to court, whatever it takes" to protect the accuser from threats allegedly being made against her, said Minister Na'jee Shaka Muhammad, national field marshal with the New Black Panther Party who is based out of Atlanta but working in Durham with the dancer and her family.

The New Black Panther Party rally and news conference is being planned for Monday morning in front of an entrance to Duke at Chapel Drive and Duke University Road. Attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz, the group's national chairman and the national spokesman of Black Lawyers for Justice, will be the keynote speaker.

Founded in 1989 in Dallas, the New Black Panther Party for Self Defense has chapters across the U.S. It preaches self-determination for a black nation through revolutionary changes. Among other tenets of the organization are calls to free all incarcerated black people, exempting blacks from military service, education that "exposes the true nature of this devilish and decadent American society," and demands for trials by a jury of black peers.

I thought Abrams did a good job tonight, considering the rape Nazis have an agenda and are willing to suspend reason in order for their scenario to prove true.

For instance, now the guys have to be wearing sports coats (which the pictures show they weren't) so that none of the stripper's DNA showed up in the testing.

AND, one of the rape Nazis said that maybe Seligmann was on the phone while he was raping the stripper. Yeah - he kept dialing 6 or 8 different people all while wearing his sports coat and raping a stripper.

That show was hard to sit through. The Time guy seemed clueless about what he'd written, as if he just regurgitated the prosecution's theory of 12:41 being the false accuser's arrival time with no explanation of why then she was seen missing her white shoe. Then most painful of all was a black female criminal attorney to opined that mistreated women everywhere viewed this case as their chance to say, "No more!" Dan tried to point out that each case should rise or fall on its own merits, but that lady wasn't having it. She is a very attractive lady, and I guess she thoroughly enjoyed herself since she very inappropriately grinned through the entire segment.

Well, at first I got that impression, when he broke down the photo of her getting in the car, and Time saying the police says the photo show her ariving instead of leaving and it is not Kim driving.

Why do the police think that she's arriving in that photo?

We were LOL'ing during the Time magazine guy's presentation. I thought he was a little embarrassed at how easily Dan Abrams was able to tear apart the timeline as it relates to the shoe, etc.

There are some interesting questions regarding the color of the car; didn't the neighbor say it was a dark car? Photographs show it was a dark car.

Although other family members confirmed that the alleged victim reported the incident to police in that jurisdiction, the young woman declined to pursue the case, relatives say out of fear for her safety. Officials from both the Granville county sheriff’s department and the Creedmoor police department said they were unable to locate any records of the incident. They also added that this does not mean that the assault did not occur.

I think this is the only case I can ever remember, that the DA will need "reasonable doubt" to get a conviction! I mean usually you have to do a whole lot of "iffing" If this or if that happen... leaps of faith...but in this case you have to drink a whole lot of kool-aid just not to laugh.

So she claims she was raped before. That's the first I've heard of that, but it makes sense in light of one of the defense attorney's briefs failed last week which said something about wanting information about the complainant filing other complaints and then not following up.

Interesting, so she claimed to have been raped when she was 17 or 18, which she claims (according to the family) that she reported, yet the police department has no record of such an incident. She was put on psychiatric medication then and was hospitalized last year for a nervous breakdown.
