DURHAM -- An official with the New Black Panther Party for Self Defense said the black nationalist organization is providing security for the woman who has accused Duke lacrosse players of raping her.
And the organization is distributing recruitment brochures with information about a rally planned near the Duke campus for Monday. The brochures ask, "Had enough of disrespect and racism from Duke University?" The materials contain photographs of Collin Finnerty and Reade Seligmann, the two white lacrosse players indicted and charged with raping a black exotic dancer at 610 N. Buchanan Blvd. the night of March 13-14.
"We'll do the escort and the security, going to court, whatever it takes" to protect the accuser from threats allegedly being made against her, said Minister Na'jee Shaka Muhammad, national field marshal with the New Black Panther Party who is based out of Atlanta but working in Durham with the dancer and her family.

The New Black Panther Party rally and news conference is being planned for Monday morning in front of an entrance to Duke at Chapel Drive and Duke University Road. Attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz, the group's national chairman and the national spokesman of Black Lawyers for Justice, will be the keynote speaker.
Muhammad said plans ... include a march past the lacrosse practice fields and ... 610 N. Buchanan Blvd.

Founded in 1989 in Dallas, the New Black Panther Party for Self Defense has chapters across the U.S. It preaches self-determination for a black nation through revolutionary changes. Among other tenets of the organization are calls to free all incarcerated black people, exempting blacks from military service, education that "exposes the true nature of this devilish and decadent American society," and demands for trials by a jury of black peers.

More about the New Black Panthers, who have been disavowed by the "Old" Black Panthers:

I found the third suspect!
The only reason for the disavowal? Is that this "new" Black Panther movement takes attention away from the older socialist cabals. Other than that, these are birds of a feather.
... and all the "disavowing" groups all adhere to support for reparations. Ipso, pincer.
Hehehehe! We had a big move, and missed Christmas and Superbowl Sunday, from packing and unpacking. This year will be different. Doesn't stop me from making that chili at least once a month. We live out in the foothills, so no passing cars. Maybe we can see if we can scrounge up football fans from our circle of friends. I'm looking forward to the World Serious. BBQ!
I think that in a civil trial, the defendants can ask to be tried before a judge not a jury. I'm not positive, but think that's the case. The Duke players could also sue the ho.
I would also expect the Lacrosse players who got screwed in this to bring a massive suit against Duke University. I certainly hope they will.
Does SANE look for splinters?
Hey, ya learn something new every day!
I love BBQ! Have acquired an even more serious addiction to BBQ sauces and cooking since arriving here in NC. You make chili, I make my famous Beans. :) We root and toot our teams!
Hahahaha! They should all show up at the courthouse wearing those.
Remembering Johnny Cockroach bringing in the Nation of Islam thugs to send a message to the OJ jury.

We could call it the "J'Accuse files": The French Way: Guilty until Proven Innocent in any Liberal Court. Or, "hog calling" events by socialists and wannabe's.
And then there's Nifong, a Bill Clinton wanna be. Will Toni Morrison be authoring his story, too?
If I had the ability, I would photoshop the players in the team photo and put groucho noses and mustaches on each player and send it to Nifong.
I propose Duke abandons East Campus. It was the site of the original Trinity college and is badly run down in most respects. Move everything across NC 147 a.k.a the East-West Expressway. Keep doing like they are doing and push up into the corner formed by NC 147, US 15 and NC 751. That should give enough of a buffer.
Lol, now I feel ashamed! We moved 20 miles. A long hard 20 miles. It was the holiday season, and everyone was out of town, so we had to move my bf's house by ourselves. I hired a moving company to unload the full sized garage of a storage unit that had my stuff in it. It's April, and I have just about unpacked all the boxes from that storage unit. Did I mention that my bf breeds snakes? That was the hardest part. Moving the livestock : )
Would those be Boston or BBQ beans? I love beans!
I'm not sure it will play out as you say. Other scenarios are just as likely:
- Applications and acceptances to Duke with decline by 50%.
- When warmer weather gets here there will be rioting and looting in Durham.
- Real estate values will decline further in that area.
- Unemployment will increase since fewer companies will want to relocate there.
- Kim will likely overdose.
- The DA will be disbarred.
I see nothing good coming from this - except maybe the disbarment.
I took a moment to solemnly comprehend "moving a lot of snakes". Yes, 20 miles. They get upset.
OTOH, we had to move 4 pets -- old ones. And couldn't get them on an airplane. The ride cross this country was most interesting. Big ole 16 year old cat insisted on being a dashboard ornament. Hit the breaks too fast, and the animal kingdom took a slide... He also snuck out overnight in Arkansas. Showed up just as I was pouring the first cuppa, and demanded breakfast.
