There is a lot of complaining, whining, lying, misleading, and really bad analysis going on right now vis-a-vis high gas prices. The latest I saw (early this morning) was an analysis that shows a lack of parity between the percentage increase in the price of a barrel of oil and the price of a gallon of gasoline at the pump. Look, I am not an economist or an expert on these matters. But rather than just moaning about the price of gas and then uttering some disembodied, meaningless statistic I heard from some dude, I have actually been listening to experts over the last few days. And, as with just about everything, to more I learn about an issue, the more I realize how important it is to study things before making snap judgments or determining a personal policy position. Here's the scoop as I now understand it...
The price of a gallon of gasoline is only partially determined by the price of a barrel of...

Doing well.
Thinking about how the media is spinning Snow's appointment.
Just heard the WABC radio newsie remark that once Tony Snow called the President an embarrassment..........etc etc.
Do they are discuss the klinton cabinet women who lined up to say they believed bubba.
Do they bring that up every time Madame Halfbright makes an appearance.

I think Sean realized he hurt himself with Conservatives and is now trying to be "weird"--or O'Reilly-esque (sort of the same thing) to regain audience share. Ignoring Reagan's 11th commandment, I don't think Sean is the brightest bulb on the tree. But yet we still listen. He's a good egg I guess.

What would Lannie call the attacks on Ken Starr by James Carvile?

Sean is also grating because he doesn't have a "Snerdly" as a producer or call-screener.
Too often a caller with a good points will wait for an hour or more on the line...just to get cut off so that Hannity can hear his own voice.
In short...Sean Hannity is an grade A butt-hole.
Perhaps 3 hours a day on radio and then the evening show have made him a legend in his own mind.

I wonder if yesterday's speech would have been made in a couple of weeks. I would like to think that Tony could have steered the President away from the language which was used.

Ooops, too late. Sean had Lott on yesterday, if I read FR correctly, and they were going after the oil companies and the $400million earned by the oil exec.

Hey Kev, we need to find out why Universal has United 93 in limited release (although most of the ticket and movie sites state Nationwide). You should register at the forums they set up at the Universal 93 site and see the vitriol and conspiracy theorists that have taken it over. I am so heated over this.

It could be worse. It could be a closed CAR door meeting with Ted Kennedy.

I don't think Sean is a seudo conservative. I've been listening to Sean for years. IMHO, he was much, much better before he went national. Lately I've been left scratching my head. A BOR wannabe....tell me it ain't so!!
Savage, on the other hand is a raving nutcase.

Are you serious?
The article was not by Tony Snow but Tony Blankley. The one where he went after the President for ordering an investigation into the oil companies????????

Yep, but Sean disagreed with Lott.. Lott lost me in his anti-business statements. I understand a 'investigation' in that it would take that side of the argument off the table, but to make the accusations Lott made based on pop-culture knee jerk reactions really got my goat.
Off Topic:
I wonder if Rush is planting the 'Snake Oil' phrase to see who picks it up? Similar to 'Drive by Media'...
