There is a lot of complaining, whining, lying, misleading, and really bad analysis going on right now vis-a-vis high gas prices. The latest I saw (early this morning) was an analysis that shows a lack of parity between the percentage increase in the price of a barrel of oil and the price of a gallon of gasoline at the pump. Look, I am not an economist or an expert on these matters. But rather than just moaning about the price of gas and then uttering some disembodied, meaningless statistic I heard from some dude, I have actually been listening to experts over the last few days. And, as with just about everything, to more I learn about an issue, the more I realize how important it is to study things before making snap judgments or determining a personal policy position. Here's the scoop as I now understand it...
The price of a gallon of gasoline is only partially determined by the price of a barrel of...

Unfortunately, I think Sean realized he hurt himself with Conservatives and is now trying to be "weird"--or O'Reilly-esque (sort of the same thing) to regain audience share. But--as long as he realizes the importance of the GOP victory this fall, I'm not going to "savage" him (or treat him like Savage who I can't stand)--I'll give him a chance to earn his way back. Still, I can't help but think he's getting a bit big for his breeches.
I don't usually listen to Sean except when I'm away from the computer but I'm always amused that every show is a 'special' edition, he never has a 'regular' edition. Then he takes a full minute with the lead in and intro, totally a waste if time. JMO.
I would say that we have a three-party system right now as well. Liberals, Moderates and Conservatives.

This past week, I told the RNC where to stick their beggar envelopes that I get from them in the mail. Now, if there was a true Conservative Party representative, I might consider writing a check.
Or Kos' criques of Lanny's press appearances lol.
If Snow's out of the lineup, SOMEBODY has to step up.
Don't see Sean, Medved, Laura or Levin all pulling the same direction as really able to fill in........and that depends on the "pulling in the same direction" which sadly is not a given.
sorrt critiques lol
You have a good point, and one I've heard Rush make several times. And in all fairness his hearing prevents him from debating mono on mono.
But I'm going back to his TV show days. He never had guests. I've seen him on Meet the Depressed maybe once. I've seen him, was it on NBC(?), as an analyst during the 2004 election. But that aside, I listen when he has liberal callers to his radio show and when they present points of view Rush is not prepared for I am left less than impressed with his interaction. On the other hand Tony is able work through moonbat talking points and really demonstrates the fallacy of their arguments.
I think the best analogy is that Rush is an entertainer, like he often comments, and Tony debates moonbats without putting everyone to sleep. I equate that to a higher IQ but I could be wrong. Respectfully.
My theater owner wants it. Universal Pictures won't let him have it. They say that there isn't enough interest to warrant the cost of a 'general release.'
I heard O'Reilly say he's interviewing Kerry this week.
I know what you mean, you want to see it face/face
but dont forget...
Rush does take them on everyday with his show
This morning it was announced that it is Brian Kilmeade and Judge Napolitano who is taking his place.
I went to Moviefone and found three theaters that are playing it here in the Pittsburgh area. MF has it as #1 of its Top 5 Requested movies--so much for all the articles claiming that no one is interested in seeing it.
Theatres finally showing up today....yesterday looked like OkC was being blacked out for the showing. I'll be picking up 2 tickets for the movie to see it this weekend!
Birds of a feather.
His suggestion that he's the only one with the 'blood oath' was so overthetop.
He seems to be in an identy crisis . First he's switching to Independent, then he's a Reagan conservative, then he's a libertarian.
Frankly, I see him as an opportunist with no core principles at all.
Sean will continue to see everyone else as wrong and he's the only one who is right.
WHat! Hazleton PA is a small liberal hick town.
Mine is pure speculation, but it could be because Sean had Rush's arch-nemisis on...Howard Stern...and treated him nicely. I had hoped Sean would have chewed him out like Sean does for other libs.
Whooopy do.
Like I said, there's a hole in the lineup.
