I don't know if I'm really ready to see a 9/11 movie myself yet.
However, this good review is a sign that the movie is not exploitive and makes a very accurate and detailed reenactment of the movie. I'm not against the movie personally and anyone who does decide to see it will not receive any protest from me.

There are those who believe this movie should not be released, that it is "too soon." That argument is total BS. TPTB are afraid people may actually see the enemy in this war for once and wake up to the garbage that is being pushed upon them by the MSM and certain members of Congress.

That's one reason why others (such as Oliver Stone's World Trade Center) are currently in productionAnd what an abomination that will be! What kind of conspiracy theory will Ollie spin I wonder?

It's Adorno's old 'There's no poetry after Auschwitz' argument. I've never bought it.

He didn't write it. I could be wrong but I wouldn't be surprised if it was pretty chaste. Stone can deliver the commercial goods when he feels like it (Any Given Sunday).

Since it's a theatrical release, it probably won't be. It will probably be on DVD by then, though.

It also has Maggie Gyllenhaal in it, who publicly said that America got what it deserved on 9/11.

Todd Beamer's dad lives here in Jacksonville. He was interviewed a couple of weeks ago and he has seen the movie his comment was something to the effect that it was hard to watch but something that he thought every American should see to remember what happened to us that day. I agree!

That's one reason why others (such as Oliver Stone's World Trade Center) are currently in production and more will come along in future years. Wow! That one should be fun.I'll wager that the script will look a lot like the flyer that my teenage nephew was handed as we walked away from Ground Zero a month or so ago...
In essence, this flyer claimed that 9/11 was a cleverly executed plot by the Pentagon.....

Didn't release of "The Fighting Sullivans" get delayed during WWII for much the same reason?
I must admit the scene where the family learns all five sons were killed on the USS Juneau was tough, as was the final scene of the conductor saluting when his train slowly went by the water tower they used to play on in Waterloo, IA.

If not for the actions of the doomed passengers of United Flight 93, the United States might not have a Capitol Building.I would rather have the Flight 93 passengers.

The left and MSM have attempted with some success to trivialize the events of 9/11
United 93 will burn "Never Forget" in our minds once again

The president and VP and others will be shown to have good reason to expect the event and will let it happen in order to cement power for their faction and carry out (scary music) the 'Neocon Agenda'.

To read a review from a disgusting leftist (Harry Knowles of Aint It Cool News) go here: http://www.aintitcoolnews.com/display.cgi?id=23124
He loves the movie, especially because---in his mind---it doesn't pass judgement on the terrorists. One pukey quote from his review: "But I wasnt really prepared to be emotionally invested in not just the passengers, but the terrorists as well."
Yeah sure you weren't, Harry.

Just the fact that a movie is made about this event seems exploitive to me. I can only imagine how those that hate the west will relish at the sight of people coming out of theaters visibly shaken. I have no desire to partake of this crap.
