Kerry testing waters for ’08 presidential bid

Sen. John Kerry is considering another run for the presidency.

Political sources said Mr. Kerry, Massachusetts Democrat and the party’s 2004 presidential nominee, has been urged to declare himself a candidate in 2007 to prevent Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton from becoming a shoo-in for the Democratic Party’s 2008 nomination.

The sources said Kerry supporters are convinced that Mrs. Clinton of New York does not have the background or expertise to make major decisions on national security, particularly regarding the war on terrorism.

“There are many who feel that Hillary must be given a hard time now to see whether she has the mettle to be president,” a political strategist familiar with the discussions said. “Once she becomes the Democratic nominee it'll be too late.”

Mr. Kerry's biggest supporter for another run for president has been his wife, Theresa. The sources said she vigorously opposes Mrs. Clinton’s bid for the presidency and has warned that she might very well lose to a Republican candidate who is seen as strong on defense.

“Kerry does not want to run,” the strategist said. “But he's under pressure from Theresa, who feels that her husband was robbed of the 2004 elections.”

As a result, Mr. Kerry has been testing the waters, arranging to deliver major speeches and policy statements on such issues as Medicaid, Iraq and Hurricane Katrina. On April 7, Mr. Kerry issued a 10-point plan for the United States as he launched a scathing attack on the Bush administration.

“Tell the truth,” said Mr. Kerry, listing his recommendations. “Fire the incompetents. Find Osama bin Laden and secure our ports and our homeland. Bring our troops home from Iraq. Obey the law and protect our civil rights.”

The sources said Mrs. Kerry intended to launch personal attacks against Mrs. Clinton in any fight for the Democratic nomination. They said the attacks would include Mrs. Clinton's marriage as well as her credibility.

For her part, the sources said, Mrs. Clinton has come under pressure from several major donors and supporters during her re-election campaign for the U.S. Senate. They said these supporters have demanded that Mrs. Clinton promise to remain in the Senate for the full six years of her term.

During the first quarter of 2006, Mrs. Clinton raised more than $6 million for her Senate campaign. In a filing with the Federal Election Commission, Mrs. Clinton reported accumulating nearly $20 million, most of which was expected to be used for any presidential campaign.

Despite expectations, Mrs. Clinton has not yet decided to run for president, the sources said. They said she fears a dirty campaign that would involve attacking her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and her family.

But Mrs. Clinton has been urged to run by her husband. The sources said that in 2004 the former president pressed Mrs. Clinton to present herself as the savior of the Democrats at the time when during the party’s primaries insurgent candidate, Howard Dean, was quickly shooting up in the polls. But Mr. Dean's quick downfall and his replacement by Mr. Kerry foiled the plans.

“Hillary knows she will win if she runs, but she knows it will be a dirty campaign,” the source said. “She likes easy campaigns.”

I guess Kerry's political cinder-block of a wife wants another year in the limelight.

Please, Mama T - keep up the good work.

So there are political sources out there who know that Hillary will win in 2008. Do they also know who the Republican candidate will be?

It doesn't say much for Kerry if he can be pressured into running for office against his will by his wife...or for Mrs. Heinz-Kerry that she believes her husband was robbed in 2004.

I say Mama T. She's not afraid of bad press or being obnoxious, drunk or drugged in public.

Oh yahh, like Kerry, the traitor hippie flower child can handle major national security issues. There was a reason Europe wanted Kerry to win. They want a spineless sociailst terrorism appeaser like their hero Clinton so america is dragged down to the same level as them economically and on foreign policy.
Bush exposes them for the enuchs they are.

Can you imagine a person like Mrs. T. in the White House...

Picture:

A gala event was held at the White House last night. Top pros were invited for a 7 course meal...

Mrs. T. greeted every person at the door with a bottle of beer and a jar of 'pickled raisins'

After everyone was seated, Mrs. T. proceeded to serve the 270 guests by herself, licking her fingers and whiping food spills on her ball room gown.

After the meal was served, there was dancing in the Grand Ball Room, Mrs. T. proceeded then to do the dance of the night, clothes went flying everywhere, a stocking was draped across the nose of Former President Jimmy Carter.

Just a little of what we could expect from the Kerrys....

“There are many who feel that Hillary must be given a hard time now to see whether she has the mettle to be president” ... “Kerry does not want to run. But he's under pressure from Theresa."

Is that funny or what!

Hillary does not have the mettle to make foreign policy decisions.

So elect a guy who does not want to run but is hen-pecked by his wife into another presidential campaign.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Teresa dropped the hyphenated "Kerry" from her name when her loser husband failed to "report for duty" in the Oval Office, as planned. I believe she maintains the middle name "Shove It," however.
