I know how you feel! I have been mostly just lurking on this thread for some time, not all that long, but I am sure going to miss it! I hope the ping list lives on!

We have lost a poster, Tony, but the Nation has gained a great asset! I look at it that way. I am thankful he has the clout and ability to make the kind of difference I would like to but an unable to! I feel like I have a voice in the White House again, One coming from outside the bubble, and that really is going to make me sleep better at night!

I am very proud that someone we havecheered, supported, listened to, prayed with and talked to is going to have this opportunity to make a difference. I feel like one of the family is moving away...but we will get to see him every day, and he will be very good at this job. It's just...we'll miss him terribly.

Tony if you're lurking..you are still in our thoughts and prayers for your success and your health.

Hi, deffie. It is pretty clear that he, our friend, Tony Snow, will be the next WH Press Secretary. His account here is suspended and all of his comments scrubbed. I am both sad and glad. He will be wonderful. I will miss him a lot.

Wendell Goler just now: Tony awaiting clearance from his doc; cleared it all with his family; remains GBW's first choice, as long as Tony gets the considerations he's requiring to take the job.

Well I do love our President and he does need someone of Tony's caliber to right this ship. I am very happy for Tony, But it's like a death in the family. His account was suspended? I guess that makes sense. :(

Dont feel too abandoned. It has to be this way. But I am sure it like the married couple, that there are rumors of "another" person & all of a sudden, zap, gone! a rather hallow feeling, no?

He IS & will be plenty busy to visit much anymore. If there is a transition to a regular (maybe not daily) presser thread, that would be good & I'll bet my bottom dollar he will often visit/lurk!

He no doubt has to go along with many things for various reasons
