It’s Time to Stand Up
After the pro-terror rallies held by Muslims in London last January (supposedly to protest the Danish cartoons of Muhammad), I wondered why there were no counter-protests by ordinary Britons standing up for their country and civilization. I asked at the time :
Have the British people reached the point where they shrug off death threats made by people who have shown over and over again that they will make good on those threats?
Did the British people learn nothing from the London bombings last July? Is there no one in London who is willing to stand up against these lunatic protesters?
I also rather proudly compared the British non-reaction to these protests with what I assumed would be a much more vigorous and vocal American reaction if similar protests were held in this country.
I am saddened, and sickened, to admit that I was wrong. Americans, apparently, are just as reluctant to stand up to these insane monsters as the British. Or at least this is true of New Yorkers, who endured the worst of the 9/11 attacks.
Last week the “Islamic Thinkers Society,” a jihadist group based in Queens, New York, held a hate-filled protest outside the Israeli embassy in New York City – and New Yorkers just shrugged. (HT: Michelle Malkin.) The protest was aimed primarily at urging the destruction of Israel and the Jewish people, at the hands of Iran and its nuclear weapons program. The protesters chanted, among other vile slogans: “the real holocaust is coming”;
“the mushroom cloud is on its way”; and “O, Jews, the army of Muhammad is coming for you.”
But the protesters revealed their plans for America too, when they chanted
“FBI go to hell,”
“CIA go to hell,”
and waved a placard with a picture of the White House flying an Islamic flag. The caption?
“Islam Will Dominate.”

How did ordinary New Yorkers react to this pro-terror rally in the middle of their city? They ignored it. Videotape of the protest by an anti-terror organization called Nine Eleven Finding Answers (NEFA) clearly shows numerous pedestrians and motorists passing the protesters with nary a dirty look, let alone any shouts of opposition.
See here. The only reaction from the public that I observed on the videotape was by a taxi cab that honked its horn as it drove past the rally. Quite frankly, these probably were honks of solidarity by one of the numerous Muslim cab drivers in the city.
And that was it. No counter-protesters in sight. No New Yorkers shouting in defense of their city. No Jews shouting in defense of their people. No Americans shouting in defense of their country and civilization. Today’s barbarians loudly proclaim their intention to kill and subjugate us, and we just turn away. In fear. In weakness. In death.
It’s time to start standing up against the jihadists in our midst, who abuse our freedoms in order to destroy our society. Our government, at all levels, must start doing much, much more to monitor, investigate, and when appropriate arrest, imprison, and/or deport these traitors and terrorists.
And because we cannot always rely on our government to protect us, ordinary Americans need to organize new “minutemen” brigades that can be called out at a moments notice to confront these protesters, and to show them that we will not tolerate their hate for our country or their support for our enemies.
Make no mistake: The contrast between our way of life and theirs is stark and irreconcilable. Under Islamic law, as it is practiced in Iran and Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and, unfortunately, in newly-liberated Afghanistan – as well as in certain neighborhoods in London, Paris, and throughout Europe – almost everything that Americans know (and often enjoy) about their lives would be prohibited or destroyed: Religious and political freedom. Property rights, technological innovation, and economic dynamism. The sexual revolution. Popular and high culture alike, including Hollywood, rock music, opera, and art museums. “Cosmopolitan” and “bohemian” lifestyles in our great cities. Traditional lifestyles in our countryside and heartland. And just about everything involving freedom and equality for woman and girls.
Whether we like it or not, we are engaged in a “clash of civilizations” with radical Islam. Under the domineering influence of radical Islam – both in its “hard” form of violent terrorism and its “soft” form of cultural intimidation – our ancestral countries in Europe already are starting to lose their cultural identities and historical freedoms. We cannot let that happen here.
We certainly have our differences in America, between Democrats and Republicans, liberals and conservatives, the “red” states and the “blue” states. But these differences are as nothing compared to the existential gulf that exists between Americans and Islamists. It is time for all Americans to stand together and stand up in defense of our country and our way of life. We owe it to our troops who are fighting bravely overseas.
We owe it to ourselves and our posterity.

From all indications, the demonstrations constituted a "brown shirt-like" non-stop hate crime against the United States and Israel for which arrests should have been made and charges filed.
The US Constitution DOES NOT convey constitutional rights to espionage agents of foreign powers who came here to destroy our country. So where was our law enforcement? Hiding under the bed again when it should have been rounding up and herding the perps off to GITMO for interrogation.
The author Warshawsky makes a very important point, the fact that the citizens cannot rely on government to protect the national security and the need for formation of civilian minuteman (i.e., armed militia) trained and prepared to respond locally, county wide, state wide, etc.

This map needs to be updated! I live in a county that shows NO reported Muslim presence. A 2006 version would be a little more shocking.
Wish that were true Med, but the lib/democrat factions are no more loyal to the US than are the muslims and have only one goal...to regain power even at the cost of destroying the country.

The problem is the same government that allows and protects this Enemy Within will come down on any US Citizen who, in self defense to a declared threat, takes action against a mudslime. Not only can we not demand their removal from this country but every day we hear that they are offended by something.
They (the political elite) are not interested in the views of the electorate except at election time and then only long enough to extract campaign $$$'s and get reelected.
A couple of interesting questions: What would the political elite (libs/feds/RINO's) do if they saw widespread formation of armed militia among the sheeple that they so want to rely on government for their "safety"? What would their response be if militia marched several million strong on Wash DC, Capitol Hill and the WH? Would GWB, for example, find military resources to safeguard the capitol when he seemingly is unable to find them to safeguard the borders? Would GWB demonize several million militia on the WH lawn as "vigilantes" or would he praise them as patriots safeguarding the country? In light of our rapidly deteriorating internal security problems, would the military take orders from and side with the elitist traitors or with the citizen militia?
I think these are questions that citizens who are concerned with what they see going on in terms of government sanctioned "opening of the floodgates" to illegal vermin should take a little time to ponder.
There may be a silver lining to this national crisis if in fact it forces mainstream citizens to refocus on our nation, what our free institutions mean to them and their children and to what extent they are worth defending as opposed to allowing the country to be overrun and turned into a combination bannana republic/islamic sewer.
Wake up sheeple!!
Probably one other differance too wurlitzer, democrats are too yellow to strap on an explosive vest.
If a militia were formed in or near Western NY, I would join.
