Gov. Ed Rendell took a campaign swing through the Slate Belt on Sunday afternoon, days after visiting the Lehigh Valley.
Rendell spoke before about 80 people at a Women's Democratic Club luncheon in Bangor, less than two weeks after Republican candidate Lynn Swann, the former Pittsburgh Steelers star, stopped in the borough to talk about tort reform and economic development. He was swarmed by Steelers fans seeking autographs.
Rendell outlined several ''things we've accomplished'' since taking office. He blamed fellow Democrats for letting Republicans do a ''masterful job in manipulating the issues,'' particularly gay marriage and abortion.
