April 23, 2006 In an exclusive interview, Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., told ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" that the latest purported recording from Osama bin Laden "underscores the failure of [the Bush] administration to capture" the terror leader.
"Osama Bin Laden is loose today because we allowed him to escape at Tora Bora," said Kerry, echoing a statement often heard during his failed 2004 presidential bid.

Isn't Kerry from the party of letting Bin Laden get away up to 12 times on Clinton's watch? Even liberal Gerald Posner in his book "Why America Slept" details the numerous times Clinton allowed Bin Laden to be given the slip, including Clinton TWICE refusing an offer from the Sudan to land and arrest a Sudanese airforce C-130 carrying Bin Laden and 150 of Al Qaeda's top leaders when they were expelled from Sudan to Afghanistan. Both times Clinton said no, allow the plane to proceed unhindered to Afghanistan. Posner says he voted for Clinton twice, but never would again knowing what he now knows about Clinton's incompetence in dealing with the Al Qaeda threat.
And Richard Minitier's book "Losing Bin Laden" details many more instances Clinton let Bin Laden get away as does Buzz Patterson who was Clinton's military attache who carried the nuclear football and was present at several occassions when Clinton's inattention to office allowed Bin Laden to escape.
So stuff that into your hat Mr. Heinz-Kerry.

Anyone who advocated giving the Iranians nuclear fuel to "test them" is not qualified to speak on any issue. OrangeAlertkerry should be impeached, shunned, jailed, whatever. I can't believe the people of MA are this stupid to keep him in office all this time.

I'm not very smart, but I know without any doubt whatsoever that I am smarter than John Kerry. I just heard the ABC clip from Sunday and this guy is clueless. There is no way that he actually thinks before he opens his mouth. W.O.W.

Every time this guy opens his stupid trap I'm reminded of just how close he was to becoming our president.
There is a God.

Anyone who has looked hard at the terror war will sooner or later realize that it is necessary for both sides to keep bin Laden "alive." Like all wealthy men he probably died some years ago in a Swiss Hospital or at the Mayo Clinic of kidney failure. But he filled a needed role.
The Islamic enemy is dispersed all over the world in many countries and many languages. The only thing golding Muslims together is their pagan religion.
There are no real leaders. No one speaks for any sizable number of Muslims. That's why Muslims need bin Laden, as a rally point.
Bush needs bin Laden because he must have come boogy-man to focus on. Al Quiada is almost nonexistent kept alive only by Al Jazeera and the NYT. Bin Laden is the only game in town.
Bin Laden died and went to that great video studio in the sky.
