Timeshare and real estate mogul David Siegel made the offer with the Kesse family outside his company Monday.

Siegel said the reward money is on behalf of Westgate Resorts Co., which is the company that employed Kesse.

"He said you can call it a reward or you could call it a ransom but the money is only for Jennifer's safe return," Local 6 reporter Louis Bolden said.

"I've been watching this family for three months standing on street corners and beating the bushes and doing everything they can to get her back and I feel terrible what they are going through and I wanted to put up this reward," Siegel said...

Does anyone else find it weird to come 3 months after her disappearance?

Ditto on the yep. Looks a bit like the old tale about the husband and the missing cat.

Husband walks into newspaper office and wants to run an ad with a $3000 reward for his wife's missing cat. Young lady states this is a mighty big reward for just a cat. Guy says not for this cat it isn't, I drowned it.

Hope is for the safe return of this young lady, but after 3 months, Jeez.

Not a timely effort offering the ransom, reward, or whatever it is.

Prayers for the family.

After 3 months, she either doesn't want to be found, or she's dead. Pity

"Not a timely effort offering the ransom, reward, or whatever it is."

I'd be interested in knowing if he had ever had a romantic interest in the girl.

I would also be interested in knowing if the family views him as a suspect.

This could be totally on the up and up, but if the reward had been offered earlier, I don't think it would make some of us go, "hummmm", like it does at this late date.

Seems pretty sure that the body has been disposed of in a manner that will never reveal her.

If he is that sure, why doesn't he offer a $1,000.000.000 reward. I'm sure the police will never suspect him as a "person of interest" if he did.

Evidently an anonymous donor had put up a $100,000.00 reward, but pulled it in mid-march for a variety of reasons, one of which was a conflict with a group called "crimeline" which would have distributed the money. So that may go to explain why this man is offering a reward at this time. There are a lot of links to older stories on this at the link given with this thread. I just read the "donor pulls reward" story, don't have time to read about the original facts of the case. Besides, they'd only freak me out.

Off topic, somewhat, I never did think that congressman killed the unfortunate Jennifer Levin either. I'm afraid that most of these young girls are killed by psychos who are strangers to them.
