Yeah, I believe he also said today that there's nothing he can do about the gas prices. Why doesn't he just come out on stage and hit himself in the head with a 2X4? That would hurt him less than what's coming out of his mouth today.

His Fox poll are also in the dumps.

I caught the anouncement on CNN. My excuse? Liberal spouse had the T/V on. I wonder if it is just me but..... the un- adulterated enthusiam and virtual joy in Wolf Blitzer' voice breeched professional decorum.
If only something can cause them to give a Katie Courician sour grapes delivery. The time is over due for CNN to take a prat fall. Time will tell.

To blindly support the Pres is silly. Are we not allowed to state the obvious ? His message , such as it is , jobs Americans won't do ! Like the Marines , Army etc. ? C'mon this is getting ridiculous ! Did no one point out to him while driving thru Cali , the signs showing a gallon of regular @ 3.25 per ? While in Calli did no one show him the stink hole known as the "border" ? His administration refuses to attack their critics. The Sun. shows are populated by the enemy . No response . The talk shows will be unlistenable by labor day. Can you imagine 6 mos of, The democrats are worse than the repubs ! Vote for the less odious !

I am a strong Bush supporter. He is a helluva lot better than the electable alternatives.
I think he really needs to tack to the right, no doubt about it. He also needs to pound the liberals and 'rats for their refusal to allow energy development here in America.
Oh, and he needs to tell the Republicans in Congress (the Senate especially) to grow some gonads.
The immigration thing is a sticky wicket--he's essentially doing the same thing Reagan did, as far as I can tell. If he does that and truly cracks down on the border, things will be okay.

Does this mean Bush's chances for re-election have slipped?
Opinion polls come and go and ebb and flow, but we actually elect a new President only once every four years.

THey did NOT stop the flood 20 years ago. We believed they would if we'd just let them give the amnesty. The People are not too interested in letting them have the amnesty and trusting them on the security this time.

Not according to the FOX poll. The Fox poll shows Iraq number one, immigration two but followed by the economy by just 1 or 2 points.

Rasmussen says he's at 45%. One can pick whatever poll they want.

Pictures of screaming children on buses headed for the border would be a disaster for Bush and the GOP.Hire Janet Reno...she has experience repatriating children at gunpoint!

Everything is magnified because Middle East policies have not produced better, for oil, for Israel, or for our Terror Alert Flag. The quicker Iraq can stand up and our troops stand down, the more success it will signify.

Oh, I'm not saying we were wrong to elect him, I would do it again. I'm saying I disagree with his positions on many issues Right Now, and I oppose amnesty, and I oppose PCfooting around in Iraq. I still like the guy, but I'm so sick of hearing about the "jobs American's woon't dew" that I tune him out whenever I hear his voice.
To: Kenny Bunkport
Rasmussen says he's at 45%. No, they say 40% here.

The day there's no biased MSM report about GWB's approval rating or it's reported in an obscure part of page 27 somewhere will be a sure sign that it went up.
