I know. I feel the same way. I've always wanted to see Israel, Egypt and some other places and it seems like I'll never get there.

It is a shame. I am so glad I visited Egypt at age 17 when it was beautiful and safe. I got to see many beautiful and historic sites, had a wonderful dinner inside a glorious Alexandria home, was taken around to see Egyptian entertainment by a local, and even spent a memorable night on the Great Pyramid. I don't guess my sons will get to do any of that.

That is what the media wants you to believe. Cairo is very safe. Very low crime. My daugher is living there right now. You can walk the streets at night without any problem. Everyone is very kind.

After we give the ME the appearance of the surface of Mars, you will be able to tour it and get the same experience, without the same travel expenses. Of course, touring in a full-body hazmat suit may leave something to be desired.
