I know. I feel the same way. I've always wanted to see Israel, Egypt and some other places and it seems like I'll never get there.

Don't let fear stop you -- it's really very safe from what I understand. More likely to get hit by a car.

I've always wanted to see Israel, Egypt and some other places and it seems like I'll never get there. Do it! You'll be glad you did. And I recommend the baptismal site of Jesus Christ in Jordan as well.
The Middle East is really a great tourist destination, espeically if you're into history. Iran and Saudi aren't so great to visit now, but other places welcome visitors. And the people overall tend to be very friendly.

At the rate they're blowing-up the place and killing people, there won't be much left to see, if the muzzies get their way. No Infidels will be allowed in the ME.

I've alway wanted to see Petra, Jordan. Maybe I'll go just before I die of old age.

I have always wanted to go to Egypt too. I missed my chance back in the early 1960's. My mother in law invited me to go with her and then, for a reason I never understood, she UNinvited me. I will not speak ill of the dead, but I would like to.....
I could never convince my husband to go there because he didn't do business there and and there was nothing there he wanted to hunt.
