His speech started about 8 minutes ago. You can listen live at http://760kfmb.com/listen_live/
I'm not basing that opinion a poll, everyday life supports it, right here at FR supports that, you said you don't agree yourself? Which is it?
Reagan's words were not an inducement to blind obedience. They were a reminder about the importance of political pragmatism. Freepers who continually try to pull the rug out from under President Bush over this issue are helping to ensure another decade of Democrat/socialist rule.
I hope our friends in the great state of Texas have much success in securing their border. Perhaps they can set an example for the rest of us.
You're wrong. The latest polls I've seen (about 3 weeks ago) have indicated that a majority of Americans favor a solution similar to what Bush is proposing.
I am here answering any and all questions, personal attacks or policy.
How old are you? Your statement is UNBELIEVABLE!!
OTOH, I'll wager even President Bush tunes in.
sw
Do you think Republicans in Orange County agree with the President or with John and Ken on these matters, sinkspur?
I'm a long way from being annoyed by silliness like yours being used as an 'argument.'
It's quite clear that insult (as meaningless and pedantic as yours is), is your only weapon.
That is most likely the result of not having the intellectual tools to do anything else.
And thusly, I shall depart this 'discussion'.......because one of us doesn't seem capable of rationally discussing things.......and it certainly isn't me.
Once more, for the record. I deeply respect President Bush. He is an honorable man, and a strong President.
I believe he is wrong on this issue, but that doesn't diminish my fundamental respect for him as a man and as a leader.
And most of that respect is drawn from a spiritual perspective rather than political.
On that note, I will let you insult me as much as you feel like. Because obviously you FEEL much more than you THINK.
I'm 52 years old and I, too, believe W to be one of the two great presidents of my lifetime. Deal with it.
I know. I live here.
Ten years or so in the rain, it once took me over 30 minutes to go from the courthouse to the freeway. The drive is about one mile.
See post #221
Truman was President when I was born. My statement stands.
Well............you Eisenhower baby you! I've got you beat. :)
If all a Republican president had to do was echo the feelings of OC party voters, we wouldn't need to have national elections.
Not necessarily true - I have had disagreements with President Bush over several policy issues and made those known here - I've never protested him or called for his impeachment though.
Then let's not claim that Americans are solidly opposed to W on this.
Did Orange County vote for Bush in 2004, or John and Ken? Bush's position on immigration hasn't changed.
Oh, by what? 3 years? Some days I feel a lot older!
