I have a real problem with MY money going to fund welfare and education for somebody else's "anchor baby".

I have a problem with that, too...now ADD paying for umpteen gillion unwed mother's babies to THAT "anchor baby" and we have doubled/tripled our paying for babies that are not our own, eh?

I have a real problem with taking my bleeding child to the emergency room and being forced to wait while all the illegals have their colds and allergies treated free of charge.

When the Dims have shoved socialized medicine down the throats of America and robbed my & your paychecks to pay for it...get in line behind a whole lot more than just illegals....and with a lot less money in your pocket!

I have a real problem with being too scared to walk in my own city because of "day workers" lurking on every corner

Put the Democrats in charge and I don't think you'll have to worry about being 'scared of day workers'...'cause if the terrorists haven't already killed your A$$, there will be the real chance that so many suicide-murder bombers frequent the cities that you'll probably be a little 'scared' to do much walking around there!

I certainly haven't and I don't think anyone else has said they are for open borders or that there is NOT a problem with illegals and immigration...but, what I am saying is do something crazy like 'sending a message' to the GOP and allow the Democrats to take over and multiple those problems tenfold...is, well...slightly more than a little insane!

Your histrionics are old and boring. 'If I don't get everything that I want now, I will take by ball and go home.' Or:
If this is how it goes down, The GOP will be merely a memory in a few years.

For this abomination, I WILL move over to the Constitution Party.

Good luck in your Constitution Party of 6 people.

This is not an anti-Republican website .

This is not a Constitution Party website either.

We fight for the most conservative candidate out there, and usually, that means the Republican candidate.

Just a reminder: Free Republic is a conservative site

It's true that the illegal immigration issue is very discouraging, and I don't know if anyone has a solution that will appeal to conservatives and yet manage to get by Democrat obstructionism, ie, a filibuster, but I don't see that as any reason to give up everything. We should not allow it to rip us apart and destroy the movement. We fight on.

We hold the majority. We continue working as hard as we possibly can to elect as many conservatives as we possibly can. We build a conservative majority that can overcome the Democrats and the RINOs. We do not willingly give up any seats to Democrats. We add seats. Preferably, conservative seats.

>>It brings back memories of my Dad, a democrat, always pointing out how regular people suffer under the republicans.<<

I agree that gasoline prices will sink the Republicans quicker than any of the other current issues. I also remember my old democratic dad saying the same thing. Hmmm, people going to pawn shops to pay for gas, Democratic dads. You must be in Texas. . .

My original post basically said we should work with the Republicans - they are the major players that most suit our philosophy. I was pointing out to another poster who disagreed what we'd have to be willing to put up with to do otherwise, implicitly saying that it's too high a price.

But you got right to the point in YOUR response. I like that!

I can't say. I've been away from AZ for too many years, and only visit once a year. I just know that J.D. is pretty well entrenched.

Yes, I'm a native Texan...and in Texas. Gas prices is a killer...nothing else matters much when folks are pawning items to pay for gas. YIKES...how bad is that.

However, I do believe gasoline will start to move down long before the November elections.

Hey, I grew up in Northeast Texas...little bitty place you probably never heard of, Omaha...long gone from there, now live in the breathtakingly beautiful, but dismayingly liberal Seattle, WA.

I will wear that metaphoric ammo, Texas wisdom of yours, proud, MT1!

Considering where I now live, most likely I will get to try it out in person more than one time! ;-)

You can stop trolling for replies.

Actually, you are the one who started the trolling on this thread.

I called you on it.

Your little threats about defecting to the Constitution Party, or claiming that you are being cramped in the back of the Republican tent are pathetic.

Don't post to me your little windbag rantings and expect no response.

No, you're wrong again. My post was a reply to posts 11, 13, and 16 on this thread.

And my posts on this thread have been relatively short and to the point. Yours, to the contrary, have been longer, trollish, and downright snarky.

When it comes to 'windbag rantings', you set the pace, George. You have the appearance of someone with anger issues. What are so angry about, George?

I can see gasoline prices already affecting other parts of the economy especially in this small dusty west Texas town where the economy is, in the best of times, poor. I am retired so I am able to conserve quite a bit on gasoline consumption but I cannot imagine how folks are managing to do any lengthy commuting. My last tank of gas in my GMC Sierra cost $68.00, my tank was not totally empty and this was before the last significant price increases. I suppose if they find out how one can tow a loaded trailer with a one of those half-breed, er I mean hybrid, cars I will buy one.

I believe your are right about gasoline prices coming down eventually but I consider myself lucky to be out of that commuter traffic.

BTW, I like your tagline. Had never read this but will.

You posted first to me, then I responded to your comment to me.

'If I don't get everything that I want, I will take my ball and go home.'

If you already joined to the Constitution Party or if you are about to join, good luck in your party of 6.

The rest of us will remain Republican. We will continue to vote for the most conservative viable candidate in a race, and that usually means voting Republican.

If you want to waste your vote on third-party losers, go ahead.

Don't bother me with your silly posts. I will call you on it every time you ping me to one of your temper tantrums.

You don't think "border trolls" vote? I can understand you thinking they don't matter, that seems to be the thinking of many politicians. You are mistaken.

Thanks. When I read that scripture I did a double take. I couldn't believe what Our Lord was saying that about the left (the left are fools and very foolish, IMHO.) compared to the right. That's from the KJV 1611. Don't know how the other versions read...but if it says it in that version that's good enough for me.

That dusty west Texas town...have any capped oil wells? I know many were capped but in this market uncapping must be happening now.

My sister and brother in law have a RV...bet they've got it parked these days...bet their cussing their heads off at Bush. Unfortunately...they've stuck with the rat party.

Yes, I have heard of Omaha, Texas but I had to look at my Texas gazatteer to remember where it was. I've probably been through the town at some time or another. Morris County it is. Although I left in 1968, my old homeplace is Angelina County where my folks have been since the days of the Republic. I am related to most of the older families over there around Lufkin. I tell everyone I left east Texas so my children would not have webbed toes. : ) I'm now located in New Mexico and west Texas.

I've been in most of the States at some time or another, but never had the opportunity to visit beautiful Washington State. Hang in there.
