Real GOOD WAR NEWS!!!

Dean and Murtha are deeply saddened and the K Twins (Kerry and Kennedy) are hitting the Kick-A-Poo Joy Juice real hard.

Iraq is a strange foreign land for us, and I don't want to be too happy (or too despondent) about any one event there. But overall this seems to be good news.

I doubt that this new government holds together for long. My guess it will be that way in Iraq for sometime, there are so many ethnic and religious factions. But I for one am glad that they have a prime minister now and can move ahead. Our beginning was rocky too and Iraq has no history in democracy and its kind of a learned form of government with lots of spill along the way.

I'm sorry to say I don't care any more. Our own political system is so screwed up that I have little patience left for the quarrels among the Shiites, Sunnis, and Kurds.

We can all thank Secretary Rice for this. I think she went over there and told them in so many words: "Americans are getting sick and tired of Americans dying for this country we helped liberate. Now GET OFF YOUR ASSES!"

"The agreement reflects the will of the Iraqi people who defied the terrorists by voting to choose the men and women who will lead their nation forward," the president continued. "And this historic achievement, by determined Iraqis, will make America more secure."

The new leadership has 30 days to assemble an Iraqi cabinet. "Once inaugurated, the new government will hold power for up to four years," Bush said. "Unlike the interim and transitional governments that came before, the new Iraqi government will have full constitutional authority."
