Think anyone has the guts to do this?
The Social Security Administration collects annually $6 or $7 billion in contributions to nonexistent accounts. That is to say, there are a whole bunch of people out there that have made up random Social Security numbers which are not legally associated with any living person.
Now it would be real easy to track these back to the place of employment and find the illegal immigrant. But that would mean losing $6 or $7 billion in Social Security surpluses each year which are free and clear of any future retirement benefits to the worker.
Follow the money. It is simply more convenient to the Federal government to keep collecting the money and not ask any questions.

I would suspect that education their children costs more than the 6-7 billion you quote. Health Care is another matter that is coming out of our pockets. I have nothing against people coming to America to work as long as there is a process in place to do it legally. However the endless cycle of granting immunity to the current wave of illegals, that only encourages more to enter the country in the next wave. America is a country, not a mall where folks just wander in.
