Public drunks is a problem everywhere. Why don't we do breathalyzers in bars? I also see kids riding bikes "too fast" maybe they should be clocked by the State Troopers. Fat people everywhere. Maybe we can save their lives by refusing to serve them at buffets... Where does it stop. BTW, I was annoyed with this stuff when I was a liberal too. It's the constant "need" for evermore info on us. Not the terrorists, or the drug dealers, but everyone.
I'm not saying there isn't a major problem with meth labs, or terrorists using drugs to fund their ops. I blame a lot of this nonsense on PC. Instead of looking at who is most likely to be engaged in terror, the govt throws a vast net over the country. I don't believe either party wants to become tyrants, but by their actions, they make it more likely. All of these "helpful" & "Urgently needed" laws for this or that "crisis" are disturbing. We are frogs in slowly boiling water.
In Texas, the police just go into bars and arrest those who appear to be to drunk to drive.
