The CIA as well as the State Department need to be purged of the political hacks left over from the Clinton administration.

All of the Clinton political appointees are long gone. They had to submit their resignations when the Bush administration came in and none were retained as far as I know. Compare the Plum Books for 1996, 2000, and 2004 and tell me who are the holdovers from the Clinton administration, i.e., non-career employees.

The only political appointee in the CIA is Porter Goss. Tenet was a holdover from the Clinton administration.

Doesn't the Hatch Act apply anymore? When I was a government employee years ago we were warned that under penalty of law we could not engage in any overt political activity.

The Hatch Act sitll obtains. Giving contributions to a political candidate does not equate to overt political activity.

No mention in the article that she was a highly placed administrator in the clinton administration, hired by Sandy Berger, and that she contributed the maximum allowable political contribution to Kerry.

That the pedophile from Homeland Security was a holdover from the cllinton administration.

Now the rest of the story but not from the MSM.

It's Bush's fault?

I wonder if Ms. McCarthy was the briefer Vanity Fair said in the article "Path to War" was fired by Cheney. Timeline fits. Thought I saw somewhere that the briefer was fired in July which fits the timeline of McCarthy starting her gig at CSIS in August.
According to a former C.I.A. official, "One briefer annoyed Cheney and he asked that she be replaced. He asked for a new briefer. That sent a chill through the whole process. It sent out the message to the analysts, 'Be careful with some of this stuff. Be careful what you say.'"

I doubt it. You don'rt conceded the power odf the MSM to cloud the issue, which is the dnager that arises when a faction in the CIA goes public to frustrate the elected government of the United States in its ability to make and execute policy.

Post Executive Editor Leonard Downie Jr. said on the newspaper's website: ''We don't know the details of why [the CIA employee] was fired, so I can't comment on that. But as a general principle, obviously I am opposed to criminalizing the dissemination of government information to the press."

So this editor came out in defense of the Bush administration in the Plamegate "scandal"? Can anyone find a column or quote where this editor may have made such a comment for or against the Bush administration declassifying information?

"...obviously I am opposed to criminalizing the dissemination of government information to the press."

Unless of course it's that Nasty Libby or Cheney...OR even the President when he "declassified" material to counteract the lies of Joe Wilson

Sounds right to me. She "annoyed" Cheney because she wanted to make policy.

Military tribunal. If convicted, save the bullets and hang the b*tch. This is wartime and she has betrayed America.

I agree. If what this scumbag McCarthy did isn't treason, what is?

I'm afraid it goes back a lot further than the toon's administration. The well-documented communist infiltration at State goes back over 60 years.

When Clinton came to office he fired the whole Attorney generals office and replaced them with Dems. Hillary fired the whole travel office. They didnt care about anyones career, they just fired them. Bush is too nice a guy as you have said. His whole term have been plagued by backstabbers and Clinton holdovers, and he stil hasnt done anything about it, When he and his father spak of clintont as part of the family it makes me want to puke.

Morning SgtBono2002,
Some people fail tor learn from their mistakes and the Bush's still have not.

Bush Sr. victim of "Read my lip's, No new taxes." A setup by the dems to help their(POS) prevail in the 1992 election.

Bush Jr. "Compassionate Conservatism", constantly turning the other cheek in hopes of not getting "bitch slapped again and again and again.

Nice guys will always finish last in dealing with commie anti-American democraps, terrorists, race card anarchists, illegal aliens,as long as they play by the rules.

The phrase, "Stuck On Stupid" comes to mind in seeing the damage down to this admin in their "compassionate conservatism" crusade.

All of Bush Jr's. enemies are happily laughing behind his back and to his face constantly.

Know Your Enemies Better Than Yourself,
NSNR
