Criminalizing political arguments is a really bad idea.

We're not criminalizing political arguments---we're protecting the rule of law.

Regrettably this is not a political argument. This is an invasion by a foreign force (aka army). There is going to be heck to pay if the invasion by this army isn't ended. But who cares is the attitude of our elected, until the next 911 type attack, then all the citizens will be watching the elected run for cover. I don't want to see more Americans die, but the blind eyes of our elected appear to want more blood. Americans can't stop the course, we are too far in. Only the elected can decide to enforce the law(s). I have my popcorn. This situation is going to become interesting very quickly as soon as the next 911 type attack occurs.

"Criminalizing political arguments is a really bad idea."

Politicizing law enforcement is an even worse idea.

from the top post:
"If elected officials took campaign contributions from said illegals,
this could be characterized as extortion, and/or bribery, and a violation
of the Hobbs Act."

Actually, what it's about is pushing for prosecution IF a "quid pro quo"
can be found.
And even though it has probably happened, it would be hard to prove legally.

BUT, letting the public know it's going on is probably sufficient to
at least partially put the brakes on such practices.

Besides, when tax $$$ are used to prop up the infrastructure to
keep the Illegals fat and happy, that's good enough as theft from
the legal, tax-paying citizens, IMHO.
