In the meantime, help build some fence: http://www.minutemanhq.com/bf/
You actually got to speak with each senator?
I've had to do this to people running for office several times. I had to make my questions NOT lead into revealing my positions.

I am including the following reminder in the e-mails I am sending.
Unfortunately, I have already sent mail to six senators, before a poster gave me this!
Oath Required By The Constitution And By Law To Be Taken By Senators:
"I, A__ B__, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God." (5 U.S.C. 3331.)
We know the Democrats position automatically. If it involves selling out America and the American people, they are for it.
BUMP to #88
Many of us are for "legal" guest-worker programs. In fact, I imagine even on FR only a small minority wants to shut down all the H1B and other programs that allow foreign workers to come into our country on a temporary basis to do work.
The solution to this problem is at this site. The only thing that matters to congressman is that they stay in office. With a minimum of 57% of the people against amnesty and worker proggrams. And in some polls thats 80% And the congressman knowing you will vote to demonstrate it, will change all their minds.
