OK, for those interested in Louisiana politics I find this interesting.First let me say I don't think that there is not much of a "Morial" machine left in NOLA. The only relic of it is the 'LIFE" organization. Which is pretty powerless because it doesnt have patronage to give out.
Now for weeks, I have been told that Republicans that make a stragetic choice and vote for Forman or support him are in fact backing the dark plans of Morial. However, his own organization is backing Landrieu not Forman.
THe fact that they endorsed Watson doesn't mean much since Watson will get zilch. I think without looking at the other sample ballots in town its hard to see what support Nagin is getting from the traditional black power structures. Since Nagin went after Morial it doesn't suprise me that "LIfe" didn't back him.
Does anyone Freepers from the NOLA area know what Ballots that Landrieu and Nagin are on?

From the Life ballot as to MAyor. Their entire endorsements can be found at the link for those who are interested.

I don't think that there is not much of a "Morial" machine left in NOLA.With the double negative in there, it's a hard statement for me to decipher.

This is too much Inside Baseball for me but I would like to be kept abreast about the efforts to fool with the election process. Somehow the scattered citizens of NO are supposed to be accorded special voting priveleges. Absentee ballots are too confusing and limiting.

I going to start a live thread on this election starting a little before 8 central tonight. I will be monitoring this.
I expect there to be little fraud in this election. Especially as to activities in NOLA. There will be so many campaign observers in these voting places all day that they will be bumping into each other. I have no problem with the voting procedures that have gone on so far they seemed fair. When you see Jessie Jackson spouting off from NOLA he is not talking for many NOLA folks IMHO. Most want to vote now.
