Wonder how many of these followers of Hippocrates will wind up performing multiple abortions [based on a most threadbare Constitutional rationale, as opposed to the 2nd Amendment] with a pristine conscience? Bet they'll kill more people in a day than I have in my life [zero, and I've owned guns for thirty years, and handled them a lot longer], and never see the contradiction, or their own hypocrisy.

"As physicians in training, we are directly confronted by the results of handgun violence..." Seems to me if the idiots are really concerned about violence, that they would want to ban it no matter the type of weapon employed. Perhaps they would not look to be such fools if they would announce they were searching for a cure for human greed.

As physicians in training, we are directly confronted by the results of handgun violence and are deeply concerned about the health of our patients Doesn't sound like they are too concerned about their 'patient's' ability to protect themselves. Stick to subjects you know about doc, like doling out aspirin. Incidentally, you should learn someone is not a patient until they ask for your advice.

This came to me via email...
Doctors:
(A) The number of medical doctors in the U.S. is 700,000.
(B) Accidental deaths caused by physicians per year are 120,000.
(C) Accidental deaths per physician is 17.14%.
Statistics courtesy of the U.S.Dept of Health & Human Services
Guns:
(A) The number of gun owners in the US is 80,000,000 (yes, that's 80 million).
(B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.
(C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is 0.001875%.
Statistics courtesy of the FBI
So statistically, medical doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.
Remember, guns don't kill people, doctors do.
FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE MEDICAL DOCTOR.
Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban medical doctors before this gets completely out of hand!!!
Out of concern for the public at large, I have withheld statistics on lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical
attention.

they should just stick to practicing medicine instead of being a part of the BRady Nut Bunch.
However as I've observed for many years; after doing their residency they move from practising Medicine to becoming businessmen and just watching & protecting the Profit$$$

A law banning the sale of multiple scalpels is clearly required. Any doctor who purchases multiple scalpels must be planning to sell them to criminals who will use them to stab people. Maybe the doctors are even planning to stab people themselves.

What these boneheads don't seem to realize is that the sale of multiple handguns has been restricted for many years. I know for a fact, that it goes back to at least 1988. When you purchase multiple handguns from a legal dealer, that dealer must notify the government with a special form. I only became aware of this when I happened to buy 3 handguns on the same day, at the same dealer, and the dealer accidentally misaddressed the envelope, and sent to form to me, rather than the proper government agency.

Not all bullet wounds are bad things. As we say here in Texas, "Some folks just
need shootin'"!
I must admit, though, that it is too bad that these folks have to treat wounded ones...
Reduce the number of criminals -- and leave our constitutionally-protected arms alone!

explained student Rachael Truchil. "The tragic results of gun shot wounds are evident. We would rather focus our efforts on prevention of the injury, than unsuccessful attempts to repair the injury."in other words: "We would rather infringe on the rights of many than have to work for a living"

I bought two 38 specials last week in one purchase. Two 380s in one purchase in March. Two 22 rifles and a shotgun in one purchase, back in August.
I'm in Texas, never heard of such a form or requirement here.

The only proper response to this is for we gun owners to urge legislators to allow us to provide medical treatment! Fair's fair, after all.
To: lrb111
Multiple handgun sales are supposed to be recorded by the selling dealer and reported on a Form 3310.4 by the second day after the sale.
If your dealer failed to do that, well, he f'ed up.
To: kiriath_jearim
Last time I looked at statistics the pills they are training to push kill more people than the guns about which they are complaining.
Iatragonic (doctor caused) death in America is the third leading cause of death. Cancer or Heart was number one.

What is a "bulk sale" of handguns?
Fifty or more bought at one time?
