- Bush is finally listening to his critics, but he must make BIG changes - how about firing both Rumsfeld and Cheney?
- Ken Duberstein

- Topics:
- The Governator: We'll travel to California to interview Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Facing re-election for the first time, the actor turned politician meets with President Bush as both continue to struggle in the polls. A Republican in Democratic waters, the governor will be pushing hard to ensure a recurring role in Sacramento.
- Kerry On: From the West Coast back to the East Coast, we'll talk to Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., about the ongoing calls for Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld's resignation, brewing trouble in Iran, and the 2006 midterms and 2008 presidential contests. Some recent polls show that if the election were held now, Kerry might well topple his 2004 foe. Is the Massachusetts senator ready to make another run?
- Our voice this week is actress Gloria Reuben. Best known for her Emmy-nominated turn as HIV-positive health care professional 'Jeanie Boulet' on 'ER', Reuben takes the Broadway stage this month as a familiar Washington character, now-Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. Reuben plays Rice in David Hare's "Stuff Happens", a self-described "history play" that dramatizes the lead-up to the war in Iraq. We'll hear how Reuben prepared to present living history and portray one of the nation's highest ranking and most recognizable female political figures.

This is NOT intended to be the live Sunday Morning Talk Show thread. I trust AB will do that as usual. This is strictly a preview of who will be on the main shows. The idea is to give folks a chance to muster their resources for that thread. I would particularly ask that anyone with specific knowledge or resources about the topics / guests announced for these shows post them here so that the rest of us can go into the shows with a heads up on what to look for.

PingThe Weekend Preview Thread is up
Sorry I'm a little later than the last couple of weeks
If you would like on or off my ping list please Freepmail me
The most interesting guest to me would be either Tony Blankley, if they'd let him talk about his column on the generals, or Rep. Hoekstra, if they'd let him talk about the "open source" Saddam papers. But they probably won't let either of them talk for more than a second or two on anything (unless they're bashing the President)
The dominant meme appears to be that Bush is so over, let's look to his replacement staff and ignore everything he or they say or do from now on (unless it hurts Bush). Oh, and why aren't we out of Iraq yet?

Well it sure looks like I picked the wrong week to judge the top ten. What a complete waste of time. Not a WORD about the fact that the Junk Media, aided by a Clintonite Traitor in the CIA, awarded a Pulitzer for a story without even the slightest nodding acquaintance with reality. Amazing STILL have not retracted their lies about "Secret CIA prisons". These people really are Al Qeda's Propaganda wing.

Have you seen post
998 on the thread about Mary McCarthy?
CIA Fires Officer For Leaking Classified Information to Media
It pretty effectively ties Mary McCarthy to Joe Wilson in the Clinton NSC, and both were Africa "experts."
I smell a conspiracy involving some fairly high level people.
Dare I speculate?
And what if Sandy flipped and that's what gave them McCarthy? That would explain the leniency in his case. Plus, they'd have to keep the deal secret to have a chance of getting others. If they're starting to roll people up this could get very messy very quickly.

Thanks for your service... cause I can't stomach watching that sh_t.
Wallace was on Howie Carr's show (WRKO Boston/syndication) yesterday where he admitted that the 'problem' of illegals didn't faze him in the least... they didn't affect his life at all.
I guess that's pretty much the official story at FOXNews... the only one I see rattled about them is Gibson.

During that thread yesterday about the firing of Mary McCarthy...I think one of the first questions I asked...was the timing of when Plame was still at the CIA...but, after the "leak" of her name...
And, the writing of Dana Priest's story about the prisons...
Because I could see how Plame would want to cause as much damage as possible from the "inside" as possible....
BTW...I have to go out for a while, but THEN, HOPEFULLY, I will be free to freep the rest of today and tomorrow...
I still have to go back and read the thread from last night about the McCarthy firing....and read all of the good links you provided...

Mark Kilmer's preview from RedState.COM
|
For Sunday, April 23, 2006Meet the Press (NBC): Host Tim Russert will talk to Teddy Kennedy. His roundtable will be Tony Blankley, David Broder, Ron Brownstein, and Dee Dee Myers. FOX News Sunday (FNS): Host Chris Wallace chats with Representatives Peter Hoekstra and Jane Harman about the mullahs and their nukes. Then he talks to former WH Chiefs of Staff Leon Panetta and Ken Dubertsein about the WH shakeup. Face the Nation (CBS): Host Bob Schieffer gives a forum to disgruntled former Army General John Batiste (ret.), John Podesta, and Pat Buchanan. This Week (ABC): Host George Stephanopoulos talks to Arnold and then JF Kerry, reporting for duty. Late Edition (CNN): Host Wolf Blitzer talks it up with Senators Arlen Specter and Carl Levin; Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora, and NYTimes Tom Friedman, who just wrote a column suggesting that Don Rumsfeld should quit because he doesn't trust him. What a strange person. He's hawking a book. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kennedy (MTP) and Kerry (Steph Show) will have nothing new to offer. General Batiste (FTN) has done all the morning shows, so I doubt there will be anything else there. Specter and Levin (LE) might be depressing, and I don't want to hear Friedman. I'll be back with a look at these shows here at RedState.com Sundy afternoon. |

pffft....not nearly as informative and entertaining as YOUR preview!
Jane Harman is on the intelligence committee in the House, I wish SHE would be asked what she knows about Mary McCarthy..and does she now doubt some of the "leaks" that have come from the CIA>?
I wish John F'n Kerry would be asked why he thought it was "smart" to be celebrating his 35th anniversary of when he was instumental in the deaths of possibly millions of people by telling Congress to "cut and run" from Vietnam??
(I saw that story on Fox News this morning---)..
He is just STILL so proud of himself....and I guess he has no clue that a HUGH percentage of Americans HATE him for what he did....
