What planet do you live on, because you are extremely misinformed about the US Senate.

We (the Republicans) do, in fact, control the Senate. There are 55 Republicans, 44 Democrats and 1 Independent (Marxist). But it doesn't matter, since the leadership is worthless.

The Republicans also control the House and the governship 60% of the states. And they are stymied by the Dems at every turn.

You also attribute to me a statement/position I (a regular poster) have never have suggested or supported "your view of tossing out all the illlegals is not popular and will not prevail" and I defy you to find any such statement posted by me.

This number included liberal republicans who won't vote with the majority. I don't know the total but do know there are enough to kill all but the most bland legislation. The Senat rules have been interpreted to make the margin necessary for passage of 60 votes.

Even with all Republicans in lckstep, they are 5 votes shy.

We do not control the Senate. We have a majority of Senators but that is meaningless in the day to day world.
