Well, the aforementioned trial is eye-opening. I want to thank you all.

if you have any of the religious channels you might be able to get it...I have TBN, you know with the guy Crouch, and his gang... I know them well; used to have big gaudy gold chairs that reminded me of thrones, on their studio sets. They still might, I haven't tuned in in a long time. then I have EWTN which is the Catholic Channel, and then I have something called 'ANGEL'...its on the 'ANGEL' network, that the 'Creation Network apparently has found a place to be...this ANGEL network runs many different programs, and this CREATION thingey is probably not a network, as such, tho I do believe they call themselves the CREATION Network
Thanks for your reply. I'll see if DirecTV carries ANGEL then. I know they carry TBN, The Word Network, Daystar, and Church Channel (TBN's sister network).
Incidentally, I remember reading of a study, not too long ago, that confirmed that commercial length has increased dramatically in recent years.

Thank you again. I'll check it out in the morning; 2 am here.
I'm sure thier site will at the least, give me an idea of the programs they show. Maybe present some "facts" that will make my jaw drop in disbelief too.

Nature Immunology has nothing better to use their valuable space with than an attack on Behe?
Weird.
BTW, smarminess (yours) is a big problem. Weird.

I'm grateful for the Dover trial.

By contrast, Professor Behe and the entire intelligent design movement are doing nothing to advance scientific or medical knowledge and are telling future generations of scientists, don't bother. Over the top hyperbole such as this doesn't get anyone any further than smarminess does.
This obsession is getting to be like Ahab's whale or some such.

We find that such evidence demonstrates that the ID argument is dependent upon setting a scientifically unreasonable burden of proof for the theory of evolution. Interesting statement.

Zounds! The entire intelligent design movement wants future generations to not advance medical research.

"that still wouldn't give to the ability to test your hypothesis."First off, it's a Theory, like the Theory of Gravity or Relativity of Circuit Design. They are all theories.
Second, It's been tested thousands of times and found to be valid without exception. The modern science of genetics is based, in part, of the demonstrable facts of evolutionary theory.
Remember, Newton's Laws of motion were corrected by Einstein's Theory of Relativity.

Great article! I'm no scientist and don't follow all the biological terminology but, I certainly enjoy reading about the complexities of life. It's notable that true scientific study not only beats back the forces of myth and superstition but also never fails to totally decimate the charlatan book writers and hucksters who prey on the ignorance of the superstitious masses for their money.

Hah...they need to get in step with those grand 'scientists', who blather about on the Creation Network on TV, hawking their tapes, CDs, and books... I've been noting myself that it's only the anti-science hucksters whom you constantly see on TV dramatically and excitingly hawking books and tapes for a greedy $. To learn the truth about life you usually have to go to the library and seek out relatively boring biology books. The Darwin group here on Free Republic should give themselves a back pat for the great work they're doing for positive education here on this forum.

To: Echo Talon
"some are testable some aren't."By definition Theories are testable. If they are not testable, they are not theories.
Briefly, a theory, in science, is a testable body of observations that are connected by a central idea. The idea is tested to see if predictions can be made with it. Evolution has passed this test thousands of times over the past 150 years.
Don't you read about what you write about?
