Help Fight Planned Parenthood's Graphic Teen Sex Tax Funded TV Commercial

WASHINGTON, April 21, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) - "Planned Parenthood's latest sexually saturated commercial, a demeaning ad targeted at young people, defies any and all sense of decency," said Jim Sedlak, executive director of American Life League's STOPP International. "The organization's shameless promotion of its attempts to influence teenagers with a morally reprehensible TV spot is just another reason why all taxpayer funding of the group should be yanked immediately."

A Planned Parenthood affiliate Web site states the ad is scheduled to air this week on MTV. The spot depicts a young woman working with power tools who later hops into bed with a man, selects items from a Planned Parenthood "safe sex" tool case and exclaims, "Nice tool!"

"The ad is beyond disgusting," said Sedlak. "The entire scenario is wrought with sexual innuendo regarding the connection between power tools and sexual performance. It completely objectifies the sexual act. Perhaps most offensive is the clear inference that the young lady's father approves of her sexual escapades."

According to its latest annual report, Planned Parenthood took in more than $265 million in federal, state and local tax funding in the last fiscal year, amounting to approximately one-third of the organization's income. "The ridiculous part of all this is the fact that we are paying for this filth," said Sedlak.

Sedlak is calling on all government officials to stop taxpayer money from going to this organization at once. "We urge all lawmakers to view this Planned Parenthood commercial to see what the organization is really all about," said Sedlak. "Surely they will begin to understand that this group relentlessly offends parents, scandalizes young people and kills preborn children all on our dime."

American Life League is urging citizens to demand that their legislators cut the $265 million in annual government funding going to Planned Parenthood at the federal, state, and local levels. A petition campaign is under way at http://www.StopPlannedParenthoodTaxFunding.com

We are in a state of (nonviolent) civil war with these people. We had better understand this very soon and fight back. It's our only chance.

MORAL ABSOLUTES PING.

DISCUSSION ABOUT:

"Help Fight Planned Parenthood's Graphic Teen Sex Tax Funded TV Commercial"

Planned Parenthood has it's core beliefs based in eugenics and racism -- they are as evil as Islam and they kill just as many.

This is utterly sick, twisted, and most definitely perverted.

Never thought I'd say this--but it's twisted stuff like this that I'm glad I no longer have cable access!!

This is a message the whole country needs to hear.

Exactly.

Well, it is a pretty aggressive ad and I don't like it, but it's not quite as bad as portrayed in this article. I mean, this statement: "Perhaps most offensive is the clear inference that the young lady's father approves of her sexual escapades."??? I didn't reach that conclusion at all. You can view it HERE if you so desire.

Why doesnt someone step up and make anti-abortion commericals? There is more that can be done to stop abortions than changing laws. Run an ad campaign against abortion like they did against ciggerettes and put in on mtv. It would create a firestorm of controversy, which would get people to watch, which inturn would let girls know the risks involed in abortion. Girls who are informed about the risks are twice as likely to not have one.

The end goal is to save lives. There is more than one way to get it accomplished.

I have a feeling that MTV would refuse to run a Pro-Life ad.

That sounds painful.

True. It is owned by Viacom. But there has to be other mediums. Thats where the controversy will help. Exposure is the name of the game. Create such a controversy that the mainstream media cant ignore it and its on the front page of every news website with streaming video. Fight fire with fire.

It's hard enough to get printed ads displayed but to expect a network or MTV would use something like that? Implausible at best. Feel free to try, however.

The ad is edgy but not so shocking given where it is broadcast (MTV).

There are sex toys visible in the tool box in addition to the condoms she removes. I also noticed the bumper sticker "Planning is Power" too.

Given her glib "nice tool" remark about his anatomy it seems her sex partner is a random guy.

The ad is seductive in that it feeds that desire among teens to feel in control of their lives. Showing her doing traditionally "man's work" also appeals to feminist's ideas.

I wouldn't want a niece or daughter exposed to these messages.

Seems to me that in an ad packed with implications, the reviewer missed the inference that pointed to 'female empowerment' and 'gender neutral roles." By having the female using power tools, she's obviously been cast in what is most generally thought of as a 'male' role. She the "empowered & emancipated female", having finished with her 'power' tools, jumps into bed with an already-waiting male & lasciviously ogles his genitalia. "He" is playing the 'submissive" female role. "She" is once again playing the powerful/dominant role.

An even bigger problem: PP'hood---a non-profit organization---directly campaigns for candidates, finances these candidates, and, in return, gets candidates to vote tax dollars for PP'hood and its collective interests. For example, part of the political arm of the Hillary Clinton candidacy in 2008 is its connection to Planned Parenthood and its powerful connections. John Kerry enjoyed the support of Planned Parenthood in his 2004 Presidential campaign. Planned Parenthood spent untold dollars supporting the John Kerry presidental bid as well as supporting other candidates that help vote for more tax dollars for Planned Parenthood.

This is a major source of tax dollar fraud and is not being prosecuted. If defense contractors Lockheed, Boeing, etc., were to do the same, these corporate officials would be thrown in jail.

Forget McCain-Feingold. Planned Parenthood can form an organization - Planned Parenthood Action - that is the political arm of Planned Parenthood, and not be accused of blatant tax fraud.

Planned Parenthood is one of the most powerful political groups in America. It receives hundreds of millions of dollars in US Federal Tax Dollars alone each year (in addition to state and local tax dollars)- which is a direct subsidary of the political activism of Planned Parenthood. Additionally, on the International level, Planned Parenthood is an important player at the United Nations.

There is currently a major criminal suit against Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles because of extorbant overcharging of the state of California for various services.

How does the Planned Parenthood tax fraud work? That's easy. The IRS has documented numerous financial scams by so-called "non-profits" and "foundations." Now any number of financial travesties can be hidden in a Foundation or non-profit by calculatedly wrapping oneself in high-minded ideals with the intent of engaging in tax fraud.

The IRS is making an effort to investigate these schemes under its Tax Exempt Compensation Enforcement Project concerning NPO and Foundations' compensation practices and procedures, and specific inquiries developed as a result of information reported on an organization’s Form 990.

The IRS enforcement project is aimed at detecting excessive compensation and improper compensation practices that may result in private inurement or more than incidental private benefit, and, especially, excess benefit transactions (which are actually illegal conversions and money-laundering schemes).

How the PP'hood-type NPOs pull off frauds: accounting entries for "administrative, legal, consulting or maintenance" fees actually go to co-conspirators who kickback the monies. Accountng entries might list non-existent phantom vendors getting large contracts for signifucant sums of money. Those funds are then illegally converted, and deposited elsewhere, and could be laundered into campaign accounts to politicians friendly to PPhood's goals.

The SEC and DOJ may also be interested in these frauds: Donors to PPhood may be engaged in shady schemes and may have colluded with corporate donors who are officers of publicly-held companies in schemes that may have included misusing corporate reserve accounts, concealing losses, inflating asset values and improperly accounting for transactions, as well as deferring profits into reserve accounts, improperly shifting capital funding to other projects to hide illegal payments to PPhood.

Money laundering schemes evade the IRS, SEC, FEC and state and federal US banking laws.

The IRS asserts nonprofits, institutes, think tanks, authorities, trusts, unoins, and foundations, have the potential for, and may, in fact, be major money laundering conduits. They wrap themselves in high-sounding causes while perhaps engaging in activities that are fraudulent and benefit insiders at the expense of law-abiding Americans.

To the best of my knowledge the IRS has not targeted PPhood.

The IRS should determine whether PPhood is properly accounting for all its activities derived from government grants, and whether PPhood is inflating legal costs, and whether it is using government grants for the purposes stated. Taxpayers need to know whether PPhood is engaged in Enron-style accounting and spending practices using government grants---which could be grounds for government fraud charges.

Well, to be honest, I am for colon cancer screening for men over the age of 50, but you really need to see that on TV?

NO, not colon cancer screening, but most, and by that I mean virtually all, people have no clue what is entailed with partial birth abortion. A series of commercials would open some eyes. Others would choose to remain closed.

If someone chooses not to have colon rectal screening, it affects primarily them.

On the other hand, an abortion is different.

Well, I know what is entailed, and I think deep-down most people do re: partial-birth abortion - kinda like people can deny there is a God - I understand wanting to keep it in the public spotlight, but even that has limits.
