This is a double-edged sword, though... No doubt this will also put a chill over some of the sources of Bill Gertz, who has shed light on China's military ambitions and anti-US strategies...
So, is it being hypocritical to support leaks to Bill Gertz (which arguably work to bolster the national security) while disparaging those to the NY Times and Washington Post (which typically work to damage national security)?
Not if your objective is improving national security rather than merely encouraging across-the-board government secrecy...
