Then TWA 800 came along. Can anyone remember the FBI and the CIA commandeering another airline crash investigation from the FAA?

I thought all along that the "crash" was the purview of the NTSB and the FAA, but the Clintons tripped a flag with their change of jurisdiction. That was the first sign that this was not a normal aircraft malfunction or pilot error situation.

Reminiscent of the BATF taking over the investigation of "sexually abused children at Waco" from the Texas Dept. of Child Protective Services, imo. But then, that is a Clinton era hallmark.

That BATF raid was supposedly related to illegal gun running. We later found out that Koresh was operating under a valid license to sell weapons granted to one of the farm residents.

No evidence was provided to show any threats, any attempts to sell altered weapons or anything of the like.

Koresh's neighbors didn't have anything unfavorable to say about the farm residents. The local Sheriff didn't either. Many of them had contact with Koresh and members of his group since they did peace meal work in the area.

Even the local social worker involved with the situation you mentioned stated that she couldn't justify a raid based on her information.

Well, this is rehasing. It's all out there for folks who are interested.
