Anything that quotes Debkafiles is suspect.
beeep, this has been a recording.
Yes, yes, Bush made a mistake invading Iraq INSTEAD of Iran. Yes, that is it. Of course, if Bush had invaded Iran instead of Iraq, the left and the MSM would have been 100% for that. /sarcasm
>>Despite all the warnings and all the facts about the regime in Tehran funding and supporting terrorism, the Bush administration decided to invade Iraq - their first mistake. Going against the international community the bush administration decided to eliminate the threat in Iraq, ignoring the facts that the real threat is next door in Tehran.<<
The author doesn't think we would have had to go against the international community to deal with Iran?
We still will.
That said, the case against Iran is much better than Iraq.
Where was all this "Iran! No Nukes!!" outrage in the 90s when maniacal Pakistan detonated their first test nuke?
Let's see:
Pakistan:
1. HATES Israel (like Iran)
2. HATES America (like Iran. Once Musharraf leaves power, Islamic theocracy will re-assume power)
3. HAS Nukes (unlike Iran, which has yet to actually detonate one)
4. Harbors terrorists (duh..also like Iran)
Curious.
We took action, and got nothing but grief for it from the media and much of the international community. Such a "pre-emptive" action was SHOCKING!!
Attacking Iran? Yeah, that would have gone over much better [/sarcasm]
There is nothing mention in the article about the attacking Iran, you can get rid of a problem in many ways. But you go ahead and be sarcastic!
When a guys first name is Mohamed I just don't feel comfortable with him guarding the Islamic nuclear hen house in Iran.- tom
We should have invaded Massachusetts and taken out the two senators from that state.
"Going against the international community"
Really?
"I see no reason for our guys to risk lives for a people who believe Israel should be wiped off the map,"
That is NOT the general consensus of the Iranian people. That is the gov't's sentiment.
Not a mistake -- a strategic gem. Iraq needed to be taken care of in any case, and we did it at preposterously low cost. Now we've got a huge base of operations right next to Iran (and Syria), just when they need to be taken care of, too.
You level of knowledge is a digrace to this board!
you are on my ignore list from now on!
well, I guess it remains to be seen!
regards
Thank you, To be able to tell the difference between the Islamic republic and iranian people is basic ABC needed to paticipate in such discussions.!
You are seeing only what the regime and the msm is showing you.
If you read other sources, you will see a country which has a population where 70% is under the age of 30 and the unemployment rate is about 20%. Well off? Quite the opposite. You are missing the pictures of drug addicts, people eating trash and women prostituting themselves to feed their families. There are thousands of people working at companies that haven't paid them in months and months, but they continue to go to their job everyday, hoping that one day they will get a paycheck, because they can't find work anyplace else.
Yes, there are certainly some "haves", but they are vastly outnumbered by the "have-nots".
"LOL, the trash-talking cultist of Iran seems to be supported by his people. They want the bomb, and don't mind his death-threats to Jews, in fact Iranians seem to be quite content, unlike Iraqis under Saddam and Sons."
You are believing the msm and the regime propaganda.
Yes, many are proud of the nuclear energy aspect, but the people don't give a darn about the bomb. In fact, what they see is that the gov't is pouring money into a project that is getting them nothing but negative response from the rest of the word.
They want the regime to put money into their pockets and food in their mouths.
And they don't want the rest of the world hating them.
Expand my level of knowledge, tell me what Iranians are doing, en mass, to get rid of their leadership?
How many decades have they had to plan?
Where is that plan? What is that plan?
Where are the masses of people you speak of?
