BTW, Purdue is my Governor, and I applaud him on this. At least he's trying to make a difference.

Hey Sara, you just won a medal from Captain Obvious! You break the law and you get punished. Why can't Mexican's understand the ocrrelation?
That may be one out of two.
From the Guardian of April 17th:
"With these protests, have America's hispanics finally broken their terror?"
They seem to be confusing 'America's hispanics' with America's politicians.
It's hard to imagine 'terrified' people parading in downtown waving 'their' flags in the face of an oppressor...but it's easy to picture congress & a president hiding under their desks in response.
(I'm still composing my reply to the editor)
Twenty years ago there weren't any Mexicans in Georgia. Now, if you take a wrong turn in Marietta you can end up in neighborhoods where the only signs in English are the green street signs.
Assimulate, learn English, enter legally, pay taxes, and become Georgians.
Take a wrong turn in the Dalton area and the same thing happens! It infuriates me to no end when walking through the Walmart, Bilo or Walgreens and hearing spanish. My grandparents spoke Italian, but worked to learn the language of the counrty they entered LEGALLY!!
How can you trust any group of people, who break the law within seconds of entering this country, to be law abiding citizens? I, for one, am proud of this bill, and its about damn time too.
The Mexican government has condemned a tough new immigration law passed in the US. I condemn the whole country of Mexico.
MY grandparents too had to learn english. They never spoke a bad word about the USA in their lives. They were so happy and grareful to be in this country . They came in the legal way like EVERYONE should. People who sneak in are breaking the law, its plain and simple. Get in line and come here the right way. All states should follow GA and make similar laws.
Governor Purdue needs to let Vicente Fox that his give a damn is busted!!
Hey Senior Fox.............kiss mine!
As a Georgia resident...
Bite me Vinny Fox.
Hey, if every red state passed laws like this maybe the illegals would move to the blue states. Who cares if the blue states have an excess of freeloaders and demonrat voters?
Mexico wants the USA to give their people handouts, and they do not want to take care of them themselves. How Brilliant!
Exactly, another free-loading nation trying to take advantage of our goodness.
