Wish it was true but the welfare queens won`t work and I don`t think the courts would force them into the fields. They also live , for the most part, live in cities.
It would be a hoot to watch Jessie Jackson respond.

You asked me where we'd find the workers. There are plenty of able bodied people to do it. Either the market will pay what it takes or it wont and prices will rise. Either way the work will get done. To think that there arent enough people is just propagating the RINO talking point lies that are not based in truth.

When taxes become so high that people revolt in paying them, while welfare recipients sit on their duff, the welfare recipients are going to be cut off. And they will have to work.

We dont have to round them up - if we take away ALL benefits many will leave on their own - there will be nothing here for them. The statement by the RINO/GOP that we would have to round them up is also a complete lie. Those that stay might resort to crime but Im ok with building more prisons to take care of that. In the short and long run we come out way ahead.

"Wish it was true but the welfare queens won`t work and I don`t think the courts would force them into the fields. "

One more thing - why would we have to depend on the courts to force them into the field? Either they want to work or not - either they want to eat or not. Courts wouldnt have to force anyone into the field - if people want to eat, shelter, clothing they will work - if they dont then they suffer the consequences. This is the answer - you may not like it but sooner or later the bill is going to come due and the govt is going to force the decision upon us. Growing govt. and increasing debt cant go on forever - fewer people can not continue to pay for more and more welfare recipients.

Please dont continue to spread the lie pushed by RINOs like Bush about jobs Americans wont do. It is not backed by historical evidence that built this country. Americans will do any job when the pay is sufficient with the sacrifice. If we were in a severe depression many would work just for food - let history be your guide not RINO talking points.

Only 4% of illegals work in agriculture.

Less than 5% of the population of the United States is engaged in agriculture as the proprietors of independent farms.

ILLEGALS won't get tossed out is if defeatists such as yourself win out.

Fuggedaboutit. The illegals are not going to be deported unless they are caught in other criminal acts.... i.e., after their initial criminal act of being here. Deportation is an attractive enough idea, but you just haven't the votes to get it done.

The question is, "What are we going to get done?" We need a locked-down border. We need real penalties for employers of illegals. We need to end birthright citizenship for the children of illegals. We need to end any benefits for illegals ... tuition, welfare, medical care, driver licences. In short, we need to remove the incentives for the criminal entrants and their employers. If that were done, many illegals might deport themselves and be unable to return.

But, even if we kicked out every illegal alien tonight, those Latinos here legally, or at least-semilegally, are still a demographic time-bomb that has altered the US already, and in 100 years will make us a bi-cultural nation, particularly in the Southwest. 100 years after that, we could be a distinctly minority European nation. Just like the European nations of today are in the process of becoming.

By getting illegal immigration under control, we can achieve some assimilation, hoping to make the future US function somewhat more like a good day in Chile or Argentina, and hopefully less like a dysfunctional Third World hellhole such as Bolivia, Guatemala, or Mexico.

This, IMHO, is what Tancredo is trying to accomplish. Stop the hemorraghing border and start working on the rest. Deportation? Sure, whenever you can manage it through law enforcement. Traffic ticket, D&D, ADW,... hell, spittin' on the sidewalk, send'em back.

Bush to Speak in Irvine on Monday

President Bush is extending his weekend trip to California to speak Monday in Irvine on the volatile issue of immigration reform.

Bush will speak to the Orange County Business Council between 8 and 9 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Irvine, according to Myal Greene, spokesman for Rep. John Campbell, R-Irvine.

The president has repeatedly said he favors a comprehensive approach to immigration reform, one that strengthens borders and includes a guest-worker program that matches "willing workers with jobs that Americans won't do." That position puts him at odds with many Republicans in Orange County, including Campbell, who plans to attend the event in his district.

The majority of GOP House members oppose a guest-worker plan...

Finally you seemed to get when you said "severe depression" cause thats what would happen if we, ALL AT ONCE, took 11,ooo,ooo people out of the economy.
As for the Tancredo line about Americans would step up and do the work, prove it. We sure know that they aren`t doing it now.
As to the issue of cutting off benefits, you must have a relative that is an attorney cause that action would put a lot of them to work.

This is not about workers rights or fair immigration policies. It has to do with international communist/socialist orgs looking to gain the political upperhand in the U.S..

Posted by JeffHead Jeff links to Mexica.org's 'after protest' pic fest. You can see there what the marchers thought they were marching for.

A poster for Friday’s march. March 31. This poster lists the Latino orgs that are promoting the protests. They are all communist/socialist front orgs.

Here is my analysis of what is going on behind the scenes.

Here is some evidence that 'amnesty' increases illegal entries. These people knew before the demonstrations that the time was ripe.

Smith Act of 1940 This is the U.S. statute that ought to apply to the organized gathering of tens of thousands of foreign nationals calling for the overthrow of our country.

I need to make a correction to my previous postings. H.R. 4437 does not simplify the process of documenting employees. The article at that last link says this:

No Elimination and Reduction of Employment Eligibility Documents. One of the few positive aspects of a mandatory employment eligibility system would be the simplification of the hiring process by reducing the number of documents employers would have to verify to one or two. The bill does not do so. Several other reform proposals (such as the Dreier bill, H.R. 98) provide for such simplification by requiring the use of a tamperproof Social Security card and no others. The bill only studies the use of such documents but does not eliminate the use of any documents and the confusion such documents cause employers.

My apologies to all for proliferating confusion on that. This means that H.R. 4437, the best of all bills so far put forward by our esteemed Congress, isn't too good after all.

Understand that the provision that the protesters say is 'racist,' that makes illegals felons, was inserted by the Dems a short time ago. That clarifies why Hillary happened to discover the immigration issue a week before the marches. Why she demonized Republicans as "making Jesus a criminal."

Keep in mind just who organized these protests. Who provided the tens of thousands of T-shirts, the thousands of professionally made signs, the hours and hours of promotion on Spanish language radio and TV stations. It has been noticed that Islamic orgs names and logos appear on some of these signs as well. Remember that NEA teachers and administrators are the ones who have assisted the march organizers by providing bussing for their students, hoisting Mexican flags at school and overlooking the truancy.

Don't forget that the last two Presidential elections were nearly 50/50. Think about how our Congress is looking for a way to appease these foreign nationals through legislation. No election necessary. The outcome of legalizing 11 million illegals and encouraging more to come will be a solid lock for the left forevermore in national elections. We don’t need an ‘immigration’ bill. We need and want a border security and illegal aliens bill. An immigration/guest worker bill can come after that is done.

Mexico is Rich- Mexican wealthy play American taxpayers for suckers

Good thread for any that missed it. It should really make you mad.

Every dollar spent in U.S. taxes for social services for illegal aliens frees up additional cash to be sent south as part of the annual remittances which provided $20 billion in 2005. According to the CNN news show Lou Dobbs Tonight (3/21/05), "Remittances, as they're called, are expected to become Mexico's primary source of income this year, surpassing the amount of money that Mexico makes on oil exports for the first time ever."

Mayans in Chiapas Region Convert to Islam

The bill that was just defeated in the Senate was an amnesty, plain and simple. But take a look at what these treasonous scumbags tried to hide in it. They will be back and we can expect more of this if we do not act decisively.

Hidden Bombs (Extremely Important Article on Immigration)

The second nasty surprise? Just before the committee approved the bill on the evening of March 27, Sen. Richard Durbin (D-Ill.) offered the "DREAM Act" as an amendment. It passed on a voice vote.

The DREAM Act is a nightmare. It repeals a 1996 law that prohibits state universities from offering in-state tuition rates to illegal aliens. The principle, of course, is that no illegal alien should be entitled to receive a taxpayer-subsidized benefit that out-of-state U.S. citizens can't get. But the committee's bill allows illegals to be treated better than those U.S. citizens on tuition.

Here is another reason Washington doesn't seem to want to do anything helpful.

"This country has slave labor laws."

So only illegals can be slaves? Nice.

Most strawberry farmers pay between $0.14-$0.23 per pound of strawberries picked, and a real good picker can pick up nearly and sometimes over 100 pounds of strawberries. That's not exactly 50 cents.

Is this a Rove plan? Like that 60 day SS reform tour?

Rove is W's Rasputin. As they used to say in Mother Russia,

"If only the Czar knew what was going on.... If only we could get word to the Czar ... The Czar will help us!"

However, even Rasputin would have trouble with Rove's Theory, "The Mexicans: Illegal Today ...The Republicans of Tomorrow!" Talk to us, Bush, not to Karl.

Kyl is more full of boloney than a boloney sandwich. Eisenhower deported a million illegals during the '50s. Whereas Bush prefaced each of his speeches on immigration with platitudes about diversity being our nation's greatest strength and our country being a "nation of immigrants," Ike named his deportation plan "Operation Wetback."
