THe Church is for an orderly immigration process. I know its tempting to put the Church in a political corner on this issue buts its really not so. When I speak of the Church I mean the Church Universal. . The Church's concern is the Dignity of the Human Person as I said before and to spread the message of Christ and his justice. Reasonable minds can differ over the specifics. The Church does not endorse or require a State to have a open door policy

Again to quote the Catechism on this issue
2241 The more prosperous nations are obliged, to the extent they are able, to welcome the foreigner in search of the security and the means of livelihood which he cannot find in his country of origin. Public authorities should see to it that the natural right is respected that places a guest under the protection of those who receive him.

Political authorities, for the sake of the common good for which they are responsible, may make the exercise of the right to immigrate subject to various juridical conditions, especially with regard to the immigrants' duties toward their country of adoption. Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens

Thats very instructive. In fact the second paragraph in fact speaks to the concerns of many here. The First paragraph qualifies "to the extent they are able" Again the question is the specifics. As to Muslims. A State can maintain its identity. The Church is not saying stop all Muslim immigration. But that a Christian ID remain in Europe. Thats a legitimate goal.
