To a certain extent, yes. There are many lower class Americans who simply hate Mexicans, even if they come here legally.

Nevertheless, the above are in a distinct minority.

I really think you need to define the above a bit more.

Do you mean people on the lower end of the income scale, who can't get hired at low wage jobs or find safe, decent places for their families to live, because illegal aliens are now the preferred employees and tenants of low income jobs and substandard but affordable housing?

Lots of UPper Classs US citizens hate Mexicans too, but they are Majority. US persons who like them are people who can make money off of them or get political control by making puppets of them for pollitical cause.
