SUFFIELD -- Route 168 in Suffield is back open after a 47 year old biker is killed in a crash. The driver that was involved is an illegal immigrant, and now he's in custody. It happened just before 7 this morning. A car turning onto Hill street cut in front of Gary Thureson of Canton.
Police say he laid his bike on its side, but couldn't keep from hitting the car. He was pinned under the car until passersby lifted it off him. Thureson was air lifted to Hartford Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police arrested the driver of the car, Luis Antonio Perez-Lopez, for negligent homicide.
Perez-Lopez tells police the sun was in his eyes and he never saw Thureson or his bike.

But, but....if he only had a valid drivers license..
mAKES ME SICK TO MY STOMACH
Or a valid visa . . . this accident could have been prevented.
Save Americans a lot of tax dollars and DEPORT HIM.
But they only come here to work - maybe he was busy talking to his daughter who also came here to work, but had to first go to school. I suppose the dead biker paid the taxes that built the school that the daughter who just came here to work and the road that the driver who killed him (who also just came here to work) was driving on would be sorry he wasnt a Minuteman down in Three Points today.
Minutemen YES! McShame, Specter, Kennedy, RINOs NO
Exactly, but let's get past the immigrant point for a second and talk about the crash.
Riders; Ride like you are invisible. Drivers are not watching for you or they are eating, talking, applying makeup, texting, knitting......
Drivers; Please take an extra second to watch for that bike, please!
Wonder what his REAL name is.

Yes, you're providing good guidance. It's a tragedy, and my heart goes out to the victim's family.
The driver could even be telling the truth about having the sun in his eyes. But since he should never have been here in the first place, the death of the biker is even more tragic.
I wonder if anyone's keeping track of all the American citizens who have been killed by illegals.
27% of all incarcerated people in America are illegals. That flies in the face of "coming to work to make a better life".
ROTFLMAO!
"27% of all incarcerated people in America are illegals. "
When was the last time Bush stated this? ... : )
"Drivers; Please take an extra second to watch for that bike, please!"
You are right. There are plenty of idiot drivers, both of cars and motorcycles.
However, the plain fact is, even for a careful, defensive driver, bikes are just plain, MUCH more difficult to see than even the average samll car. That is NOT the fault of the car driver.
I know many bikers want to look cool above all else, but black is not, shall we say, a high visibility hue.
Even Saudi Arabia is building a fence to keep out undesireables...and a fence works relatively well for Israel...
Build a strong fence, deport them all, then let them back in one at a time AFTER drug screening, criminal background checks, a clean bill of health..and making sure they have a job lined up or a set of skills we need...
Then track them regularly and keep them confined to certain areas of the US only...and then make them reapply for movement...
After a period of years of successful employment, drug free and crime free lives...then and only then offer them full citizenship.. as long as they speak and write passable English.
The larger corporations that employ them should then bear all the costs associate with their resident alien employees...not the taxpayers with some exceptions made for small businesses and family farms.
imo
Bikers please stop for the red lights like the cars do and stop riding down the center of two lines of cars. Also it might help if you picked roads with shoulders and remember you are going 45 miles slower than those you are competing for space on the highway with.
The pat I liked was where it said the biker laid the bike down. thats hat all the motorcyclists claim they laid it down. Mostly the car does the laying down of the bike.
