I thought that was the philosophy behind cable when it first came onto the scene. Sure, they told us, you pay to watch TV but there's no commericals.

Yep. Now you pay extra for "premium channels" which don't have commercials. All they have are "making-of specials" which are really commercials for upcoming movies. And so it goes.

(One reason I won't get satellite radio.)
