All of a sudden, Republicans have jumped ahead in some of the top 2006 election contests .......California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has a solid re-election lead for the first time and Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Famer Lynn Swann has a real shot to be Pennsylvania's first black governor (statistically tied with Gov. Ed Rendell). In New Jersey, Tom Kean Jr. has edged ahead of Sen. Bob Menendez. Sen. George Allen (Va.) looks solid as a rock for re-election despite Democratic vows to rock his 2008 presidential dreams. Even No. 1 at-risk Republican Sen. Rick Santorum (Pa.) now trails by 9 points instead of double digits.
And Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton just hit a new low in 2008 support as only 26% nationwide say they'd definitely back her, while 41% say no way (all data from Rasmussen Reports.com, which accurately predicted the 2004 election).
--SNIP--
Two other key factors: The Bush economy looks pretty good, and there's a rising heartland rage over illegal immigration.

Gads, Howie must be a contortionist (snicker).
First he calls for amnesty in an effort to fellate the hyphenates, then he calls for tighter borders to suck-up up to middle class voters.
Howie better be careful---he'll hurt his back, not to mention all that lip burn (smirk).
The Democratic Party has seen softening support among blacks and union members because of the Democratic leadership's pandering to illegal immigrants. The MSM has largely ignored the story, however.
Good people are connecting rapidly.
One key issue is Dims support for gay marriage-----a major portion of their vote are Black religionists who are decidedly against it.
What a relief! Here I imagined wetbacks were working in some finer restaurants and maybe spitting on my $32.00 steak dinner.
LOL!
IMMIGRATION POLITICS: MARCHING MADNESS
(pro-aliens deranged conduct hurting cause)
By John Podheretz

EXCERPT........things are moving rapidly in the direction of the immigration restrictionists. That may not be due to anything they've done or said. Rather, the idea that something has to be done about illegal immigration is in part due to politically deranged conduct on the part of those who claim to be working on behalf of illegal aliens.
The demonstrations - are politically incomprehensible. If their purpose is to influence the political debate in a direction favorable to the interests of illegal aliens, then their organizers are deluded.
The rapidly rising concern about the issue is a clear indication that the first round of demonstrations a few weeks ago, featuring Mexican flags dominating American flags and wild talk about American imperialism, were self-defeating.
There is no chance on earth that Congress is going to adopt a wildly liberal set of policies on illegal immigration. ......the immigration interest groups and others seem intent on radicalizing the debate, in making it clear to many people who aren't yet committed to one side or the other on this issue that the pro-immigrant side is nuts and the anti-immigrant side is more sensible.
The direction all this will take in years to come is unknowable. It may align Hispanics with the Democrats in the long term. On the other hand, it may drive more Democratic voters of modest means into the Republican camp, offsetting the Democratic gain.
No matter how you slice it, these demonstrations were and are a horrible mistake.
The problem is we don't trust the Republicans to do a good job of pointing out the truth to consumers.
Some idiots will blame Bush for high oil prices.
If it's just $32.00, it's not a prime zsteak from Allen Brothers!!
Good idea.
Yes. I inadvertantly gave away the fact that I obviously haven't gone out to eat in a loooong while.
Thanks for blowing my credibility! ;)
9/11 was never repeated--thanks to President G. W. Bush. The Democrat Party is the political arm of the Left, and the Left is America's greatest and most dangerous enemy.
Are they prepared to surrender their individual congressional district in 2006? There may be a lot of justified complaining, and it should continue loud and long; but I wonder how appealing the opposition will look to conservatives on election day.
There are now 52 states in the USofA. (IE: Canada and Mexico) Traveling from Colorado to Utah is the same as traveling from Canada, Mexico, to California. They are all immigrants. Much retooling of National Laws has to be done. It takes time. LEARN TO LIVE WITH IN!
Further, draw his attention to the caption on the right-hand picture in the third row down -
"One of the more negative parts of the march was when American flags were passed out to make sure the marchers were looked on as part of "America".
There are lots of places where I live wher you can get a good steak dinner for $32.00, but not an Allen Brothers prime steak. They charge about $150.00 for four prime 20 oz. T-bones.
The economy will likely be good come November, of course the drive by media will have swamped us with an avalanche of gas price crisis stories all summer, so consumer confidence will be lower as a result.
The Party of Treason has organized, led, and provided the speakers to these HateAmerica Fests.
