Mexico blasts Georgia illegals law

MEXICO CITY — The Mexican government blasted Georgia's new illegal immigration law Tuesday, calling it a half-measure that discriminates against Mexicans.

Ruben Aguilar, spokesman for President Vicente Fox, told reporters Tuesday morning that implementing parts of the Georgia law could result in "acts of discrimination" against Mexicans living in Georgia. "It's the position of [Fox] that the half-measures in this law are insufficient to resolve ... the complex phenomenon of immigration between Mexico and the United States," Aguilar said.

The Georgia bill, signed into law Monday by Gov. Sonny Perdue, requires verification of the legal status of those seeking certain taxpayer-funded services. The law also prevents employers from claiming the wages of illegal workers as a state tax deduction.

Hey, Vincente, how about sharing some of your country's wealth with your poor so they don't have to break into our house and break our budget?

All Vicente would need to do is supply a rule of law for all people in Mexico, so that Mexicans can keep what the make, and the Mexican people will build their own wealth. And make a poorly managed cesspit into a garden. Assuming he would survive the effort.

It`s only complex to people who don`t want to understand it. Your country sucks, so your people come here as quick as they can. We don`t want them here and want them to stop coming. See? Not complex at all.

Why doesn't the media EVER talk about Mexico's own immigration policies

Why doesn't our President?

I know the media is always on the wrong side, but really, its not their job to promote American Foriegn Policy.

As America discusses “Illegal Immigration” we are ignoring the third side of the triangle. [Family, Career & Home]… or… I work Here. Work & People are, currently, in the discussion mix. Bosses & Immigrants have been blamed. Predatory Landlords have been ignored.

Slumlords & dishonest property managers should be a Major part of the Issue. Those folks delight in preying on tenants that Pay in Cash for substandard housing & don’t complain. Those Scoundrels can Over Charge, yet underreport their Income, when they collect the rent in CASH. They happily ignore Occupancy Codes & Safety Codes, while lining their own pockets and intimidating their tenants.

I’m baffled that neither the Media nor our Elected Officials have recognized the role of Slumlords in “Border Policy”.

Nothing discriminates against Mexicans more than the Mexican government!

"Bet Sonny's approval rating just went up 10 points"

At least.

Thats what I don't really get about all this.

When 80% of the population says they want something done about illegal immigration, how can you lose by enforcing the laws?

I may very well become a GOP defector. I'm pretty sick of the way the Republicans have handled this issue.

Let's tell Vicente that we'll be changing our immigration laws and we'll be using MEXICO's as the model. I wonder how he'll like that.

At least there will be one or two US states fit to live in provided our congresscritters step away from the amnesty koolaid.
