The Christian answer is: I can never pay this back, but luckily that Christ fellow has already paid my debt

Ann, learn how to show respect.

I don't think she's being disprespectful. Unrepentant people come in many different flavors, including "Christians". I've seen some of these so-called followers of Christ use this pass-off, in one way or another.

Remember Billy Clinton showing up for Sunday Service with that big, big Bible in his hands? Some people are just like that.

The problem, IMHO, is the word "luckily". Replace that with "Praise the Lord," and there is IMHO no problem. Just a pointed way of saying that Christ was man as well as God.

So "fellow" is disrespectful in your opinion? How about the word 'person'? Jesus was a person, and a fellow, and a man. His name not be preceded by glowing phrasology in order to exalt Him, imho.

Show respect yes. But also, don't paint Christians as above taking the liberal way out, "The liberal answer to sin is to say: I can never pay this back, so my argument will be I didn't do anything wrong." I know plenty, and one in particular that denies he ever does anything wrong and he calls himself a Christian.

I've met plenty of so-called "Christians" like that. She should have qualified the statement, but those people do exist in plenty and are usually in high positions within the church.
