An airline passenger who arrived in Florida from New Jersey opened her suitcase and found a uniform belonging to a Transportation Security Administration officer, according to a Local 6 News report.
Debra Sanders found the TSA uniform folded and packed with her items.
"My jaw dropped," Sanders said. "I couldn't believe what was on there: Patches for Homeland Security, TSA all over it, and then the name tag with the number."
Sanders had just arrived at Tampa International after flying JetBlue out of Newark.
Sanders said she hopes the incident was just a mistake by a screener but fears someone was trying to pass off the TSA uniform to someone else and put it in the wrong piece of luggage, the report said.
She said her neighbors were killed in the Sept. 11, World Trade Center attacks.
"To see something like this when you don't want something like that happening again, it's a little scary," Sanders said.
The Transportation Security Administration was contacted about the uniform, according to the report.

Hopefully, it's just the TSA conducting a test of security. HAHAHAHAHA! Oh, stop! My ribs! I can't breathe!
'TSA' and 'security' should henceforth never appear in the same sentence together. They are about as secure as a fishnet parachute. They are, have been, and always will be window-dressing designed to prop up the mass illusion that government is 'doing something' about a small subset of the country/world population THAT WE ALREADY HAVE AN ACCURATE PROFILE OF by making Grandma Brown from Topeka teeter on her cane after she strips down to her bloomers.

Heck, wear rhe darn thing and see how quick you can get thru "security".

I guess us police officers are a high risk on domestic flights. What kind of nut would give a police officer a gun?

I'm still wondering where my suit went when I flew back from Las Vegas last February. There was a "This piece of luggage inspected by TSA", but no suit.

Aww, give 'em a break. Some TSA worker probably had a funeral to go to.

Be on the lookout for a TSA cross dresser in woman's clothes.

More than likely one of the TSA folks got hot while rifling through your belongings looking for drugs, pills , your video camera , jewelry or cash money and they took off the shirt and went on to the next passengers belongings without putting it back on.

"'doing something' about a small subset of the country/world population THAT WE ALREADY HAVE AN ACCURATE PROFILE OF"
We have an accurate profile? Middle Easterners, Moroccans, Algerians, little rich boys from California, and Hispanics from Chicago don't represent a single profile (aside from all being male). They don't look, speak, or act remotely similiarly. In fact, they're about as varied as you can get.
Secure the damn planes; search everything that goes on board, and start getting serious about perimeter security. We need to start taking some pages from El Al's book and implement their ideas on a level we can reasonably afford.

--- Any odds that Debra Sanders will never get through airport security again without strip & cavity searches? Ha! No kidding! I'm just amazed that she wasn't arrested for smuggling the uniform considering what they did to that college kid who set out to prove the airlines were not secure.

One can't buy Forest Service badges and patches on eBay but you can get Homeland Security patches. Go figure.HOLY SH!T! That is the scariest thing I have seen since the towers fell (and that includes the pics of Kerry trying to catch the football!).

That is stunning. Three bids already too. You wonder who would buy patches like that.
The sellers forgot to note that a free private unmarked jet trip to Norway is included.

Ebay also permitted the sale of a stolen Israeli passport.
The man who lost his passport even had news coverage of the auction while it was still active.
I believe that we saw it tick down to completion without being pulled by ebay.
