I'm about to move to a small town which is outside a major metro area. I recently looked at one of those mapping systems online which identifies where all the Level II and III registered sex offenders live. This is what I discovered.:
1. There is only one registered sex offender living in our town.
2. He was convicted of child molestation.
3. He lives two blocks from the elementary school.
Hopefully I'll be finding out more about this.

A sex offender registry that doesn't list actual addresses is a good thing.
But what prompts someone to pick up arms and seek out offenders they don't know, who molested someone they don't know, and take that person's life?
